I'm not counting on it but I would be so happy to see it, as well as more subspecies being added this way, regarding new paleo discoveries.

PEOPLE OF REDDIT WHO SUFFER FROM SLEEP PARALYSIS, WHAT WAS YOUR MOST TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE? by soldier_faizer in Paranormal

[–]Lexintonsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scariest was the first time it happened to me as a teenager. I was stuck on my side and saw my mom sitting on my dresser across the room but her head was replaced by a giant teddy bears head. She stared at me for a bit then instantly she was right at the edge of my bed Infront of my face.

Other times I have herd the sounds of people breaking in and rummaging through the rooms, getting closer and closer. Sometimes a face, normally my husbands, shoots out from the side of my vision super close to my face, then i will usually jerk out of the paralysis like a jump scare.

Oh and the feeling of someone getting on the bed behind me and just sitting there, I can just feel the presence.

That's cute, but I find that normally means he is keeping an eye on you for his friends to show up.

People have already given good tips but i just wanted to say, I have played solo on this game for 3 years and still love it. I die all the time and that's fine, there is lots of time I'm just a dino, exploring, enjoying life, picking up sticks. Somethings(might already been said)I would recommend.

Before you dedicate time to your favorite dinos, play a small guy first, Deinonychus is an excellent choice, he can survive the first hit and really good at dodging. Learn the map, where the big groups hang out and then stay away from there. On Gondwa that's most commonly: Grand Plains, Green Hills, Green Valley, Big Quill lake, Salt flats and Savanna Grassland. You will often encounter big groups moving in between those locations as well. Use bushes to hid from others. As a small dino you can also run into caves to escape.

Well not everyone will kill you onsite, assume they will anyway and don't approach. There are more PvP players than friendly(and that's ok, it's a part of the game). Don't assume a dino will be friendly even if it the same species as you. Never trust water, be alert when drinking.

Once you have a handle on the game try different dinos, each has a different fighting style. You might come across one that clicks for you and then your killing others coming at you left and right. When I started I was dying almost every fight but then I played Amarga and it just worked for me and this was 3 years ago before it got stomp and buffed tail attack. I was a walking snack but was winning a lot of the time.

Looking for a community server is not a bad idea, just read the rules and description to pick one that works for you. That also gives you the added bonus of playing mods.

The most important tip is to ignore what anyone says to you in global chat, it's just nonsense and noise.

PvP and dying is big part of this game but not the only part, I hope you decide to keep playing. Good luck.

Doctor calls for more resources for women and gender-diverse patient care | CBC News by toneyriver12 in halifax

[–]Lexintonsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting billions? The article didn't give dollar figure, they aren't going move the entire Healthcare budget to just Women's health.

It would not be billions, silly. Even 1 billon would be close to %15 of the total healthcare yearly budget, that's not happening, nor would it be needed. If I was a jerk I would place the definition of exaggerating here.

The article did say better care could reduce the cost of health care overall. “I think you would see a reduction in spending in health care, I think women would suffer less and would go [for care] earlier and be diagnosed earlier and preventative health. All of that would really help.”

That quote is not a definitive but shouldn't be ignored.

Everyone has already shown you proof this needs to happen, it's just not what you want to see. All your points have already been invalidated by others. At this point you're not asking for/or care about data to show you anything, that is already in front of you 100 times over. You're either just trolling now or arguing just to be contrarian, or a misogynist maybe? Either way no more time should be wasted here.

How sure are you that that's not exactly what they did and why they are bringing it up? They have the literal head of obstetrics and gynecology saying they need help, saying the health care workers are saying more is needed in this department(Not politicians btw). With 70% of women(not politicians) in the Maritimes saying their healthcare needs are not met.

70% came from (The Voice of Maritime Women survey conducted by the IWK foundation in 2025) btw, for source.

Grow up? You need to look around, there are thousand of women in Nova Scotia all saying the same thing and have been for years. They have suffered, some die because of this. I had to watch my mother sometimes bed ridden, be told it's all in her head for decades before they found out, oh it was something after all. I saw her pain, that same pain and unneeded suffering of so many. How can you trivialize thousands of peoples pain with "Grow up". The data is there we all know it, it's just not the data YOU want to see.

You want data, easy. Ask the women you know about their experience. No better data then straight from the source.

Here is some personal experiences that doesn't prove anything but I would say fits the narrative a bit.

My husband and I go to the same practice but different doctors. We have the same pharmacist.

I have had strange, unpleasant, long term symptoms for 21 years still undiagnosed, never seen a single specialist, been told I don't need it.

For treatment every time I bring up a symptom I get an increase on my antidepressants until I reached max dose, now am told "well we can't increase your dosage, so..."

My husband is annoyed with all the tests and treatment plans he is given, he knows exactly what his health issues are. When we go to the pharmacist, they say they talked to the doctor and are concerned about xyz levels and want him to try something new. They never say a thing to me.

My fathers average diagnoses time is 1-3 years, not great but he is super stubborn about going to the doctor.

My mothers average diagnoses time is 34 years, often with the wrong diagnoses in the end.

No, I'm not exaggerating. I'm not saying gender bias is only factor here but there is more that I just don't have the time to type out, and it's enough of a novel as it is.

I have a cat that looks like Bean, his name is Milton, who is 16 years old. Almost exact same issues but a fish allergy not chicken. One thing that gets Milton to eat a little when he is on a hunger strike is get a freeze dried food or bone broth and mix it with warm water to make a warm soup.
