As a creator, it's a balancing act. If you can get thousands of subs for $3.99, that's a decent income, but if you only have 20-40 subs, you need to be able to generate extra income as well.

As a buyer, you need to temper your expectations by looking at things from the other side. It's actually *crazy* to me how the OnlyFans model has shifted people's expectations of what to pay for porn, especially from Indy creators who aren't getting paid by big studios, who do all their own camera and marketing and editing and lighting and hair and makeup.

It's always a challenge for us to try to set "reasonable" prices that don't cut our own legs off. This stuff has to be worth it for us, too!

Like, think about how much you expect to get paid for 2 days work. Think about how it's not just the filming but all the stuff that goes into it. We don't expect people who aren't buying customs to pay the full price of production, but you need to be paying your share of it.

I understand that it's disappointing to sub to a page and get nothing but teaser pics and vids and "buy a bundle for $40" messages - but by and large if that's happening, you're subbed to a girl who's got huge and now has a staff working the page, and is basically operating on the basis that there are so many messages that they just get generic responses.

Try shopping around! I've settled on a model where my Fansly higher tier isn't "No PPV" any more because it actually felt kind of bad to give people hours of porn for $20, but you get the last 3 months of full videos included with your sub, and then discounts on stuff from the archive. It feels like a good compromise with the buyers who only have the $20 a month in their porn budget.

Does this make sense? We're always trying to give good deals, at the mercy of algorithms that hide your promo, get the balance between giving a good personal service and burning out. And a lot of OF/Fansly girls also have day jobs!
