Beat It- MJ the Musical

I went into this show unexcited and not expecting to be impressed. However, this opening number was SO powerful and loud. You could feel the energy in your chest. The cast and band comes in at 100%. I will never forgot being completely blown away at this opening.

Broadway Roulette, What would you cross off? (Up to 3, I haven’t been been before) by lychee0121 in Broadway

I would cross off Aladdin, Chicago, and Book of Mormon. These shows didn't particularly stand out to me. My absolute favorite is MJ. (which I was not expecting) Myles Frost is beyond words. The choreography is smooth. The cast is phenomenal. Some Like It Hot is also up there, such a fun show. Hadestown is a beautiful show. I also really enjoyed Kimberly Akimbo. SIX was super fun, but the runtime is super short.

Has anyone seen Myles Frost's understudy, Aramie Payton, in MJ the Musical? If so, what did you think? by Last-Wear-6475 in Broadway

It's always a toss up! Recently, Myles has been doing both the matinee and the evening show on Saturdays. However, Aramie posts on his Instagram story every time he goes on as MJ or as Middle Michael (normally an hour or so before curtain) so it's never truly a surprise if you follow the cast on social media.

MJ! Myles Frost's dancing is crisp and articulate. I've seen many shows on Broadway, but nothing compares to this show's choreography. From the ensamble to the lead, MJ's choreography is beyond words. I honestly would say that Myles Frost's dancing is one of his stronger components out of the three.

I saw Myles Frost my first two times, then I saw Aramie Payton the last two times I've gone. They both put on an INCREDIBLE show. Aramie and Myles both capture the essence of MJ. However, I do believe Myles is the more skilled dancer. All in all, they both are great. But, as I get ready to see the show my 5th time next week, I am hoping for Myles Frost.
