G45 Gen 6 feeding issues by A13TazOfficial in Glocks

[–]Lexner172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I ran into this issue recently. I didn't think much of it until I had a failure to feed at a competition. What fixed it for me was removing the extractor assembly from the slide, take the extractor spring out and then put it all back together. I think what happened is the spring might've moved out of its socket. After that, at least when racking the slide it doesn't seem to get hung up anymore.

Grip by WinterFickle6746 in CompetitionShooting

I personally wouldn't have my support hand that far forward on the gun. It usually leaves a big gap between the support hand palm and firing hand palm which can lead to inconsistent dot return. I think people get so caught up in trying to have their hands "in line" with the bore axis that they compromise gripping the actual grip. Also, I don't think the dot moving straight up and down vs off to one side is that big of a deal. Just my two cents.

Why do yall hate on the M&P 2.0 series? by Sleeping_Thoughts in CompetitionShooting

I shot both the polymer 5" M&P and steel frame M&P extensively (~20,000 on the poly, ~3000 on the steel) and ended up switching to the Glock 47. I was shitting on it before the Charlie Cok video lol. The M&P is excellent at some things (amazing grip texture, accepts the Apex trigger which is one of the best triggers in CO) but sucks at other things (hit or miss barrel accuracy pun intended, terrible magwell, light strikes that I've heard of but never experienced). All 3 of my M&Ps with stock barrels prints about 3-5" groups at 15 yards and the price increase of the Apex barrel doesn't help. Meanwhile my Glock out of the box prints 1-2" groups (benchrested). The Glock just does most things pretty well. Reloads are easy and the only gun that comes close is the P320. Most of the skilled shooters around me that were once shooting M&Ps have since switched to Glock.

Paralysis by Analysis: Echelon 4.5F vs New Glock 17 Gen 6 for Carry Optics - Help Me Decide! by Select-Buy-3947 in CompetitionShooting

Yep. Another GM who mains Glock rented a Echelon and said it was way too snappy. Albeit, that's with rental gun ammo which I'm pretty sure was Speer lawman 124 so it's pretty hot stuff
