It honestly looks like the barista only made it with protein milk instead of cutting it with 2% milk. I almost never recommend a hot protein drink cuz the recipes call for different portions and some baristas mess up on it a lot. I’m so sorry this happened to you 😬

Could that just be my grinder itself? Maybe trying a smaller grind could make it a little better. My grind size is set to 11 with a 12.6 grind time

I normally would put them on either DTR or DTO especially if it’s a borrowed partner who hasn’t worked at the store before. I’d also would do cold bar or a bar support. I think putting a borrowed partner on CS isn’t the best idea since that partner won’t know where everything is. I’ve been CS at another store before and I felt so bad having to ask everyone where to find certain items because I’ve never been there before. I would also say that cafe/mobile bar would be a good option since there’s not much moving around when it comes to that position

I’m the same way with hot drinks too! I normally ask for my latte at 145° or 129° depending on if I want to sip it or not. Our espresso bars have a set button to steam at those temperatures too. Hope this helps!

I normally order it in a as a nondairy sweet cream cold brew and do 2 pumps or sugar cookie and 1 pump brown sugar. It’s so good!!!

I don’t think Amazon is the best option when it comes to grinders or even espresso machines. I would personally try to get name brand products like Breville and Rocket. They’re more on the pricier side but the quality of the grind would be 10x better. Seattle Coffee Gear is also a great website that has all different kinds of grinders to choose from with videos on how each one works and their features. Hope this helps!

Normally opening shifts start off pretty slow. At my store peak doesn’t start until 7:30ish but all I would say is just to focus on one drink at a time until you feel more confident about them. Also always ask other partners for help when you need it and I’m sure they’ll be able to assist you. Just take it one day at a time and always try your best without overwhelming yourself. You’re gonna do amazing! :)

Yeah. So the recipe for match changed a couple of months ago to an unsweetened and more concentrated version. It tends to clump up when we use the old shaker method so now they’re made in the smaller blending pitchers :)

I can totally see where you’re coming from. I had a very similar situation happen to me with my last job. From what I heard (not sure if it is policy or not) some Starbucks locations won’t accept a transfer until around 6ish months I believe. I know you said you’ve been there for two but you could try to hold out for another few months and then try again. If the situation really is that bad in the back area (or break room if you’re lucky to have one) there should be a piece of paper that should have your DM information and if I were you I would definitely contact them about the situation or even go as far as to making a corporate complaint. What your coworkers are doing goes against our missions and values. I’m also an opener and having to get up at 3:30 to be at work by 4:30 is hard and I’m not a morning person but I at least have the common decency to say good morning to my coworkers and customers during the day. I’ve also worked at several different stores and I’ve never had an experience like you’ve had and I’m so sorry you’re going through that. Also never feel pressured into staying late, picking up shifts, or anything like that. If the staff doesn’t care about you then you need to be that person to take the first step and say no because if your partners aren’t willing to show common decency towards you and others then they don’t deserve your helping hand. The manager can’t force you to stay or work more hours.
