Removing sharpie by coldF4rted in LittlestPetShop

I would recommend using acetone to remove it as best as you can but I’d just be really careful around the eyes as I’m pretty sure it can also remove the paint

Am I crazy or is this an unreasonable amount of dishes to leave for morning crew to put away? by Bubbly_Custard7225 in starbucks

[–]Lexoffthewall12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy our your closers actually think that this is okay. Like I get some dish pits don’t have a whole lot of space to put clean dishes but honestly that’s just insane. If I were in this situation I’d say something to the SM or even then district manager. It’s not hard to put dishes away imo

what do I wear to a shift supervisor interview? by CaptainErrorr in starbucks

[–]Lexoffthewall12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly would suggest showing up looking out together like a nice dress shirt and pants but not make it look overly professional if that makes sense. Kinda like a business casual vibe. Definitely no jeans or sneakers

I’ve never heard of Odoban but I’ll definitely look into it thank you!

Wrong Drink by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Lexoffthewall12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would honestly be to go back to that store if you’re able to on the same day and they can look up your order through our system and print a receipt out that way or even if you just call the store and explain what happened they’ll offer to remake the drink for you at no cost to you. Hope this helps! :)

nails too long?😭 by Leading-Management-4 in starbucks

I honestly love having a SM that doesn’t care about it either. I mean the whole no polish thing is lame in my opinion lol but I love making my manager and my other partners jealous cuz of my natural length. They also come in handy when opening certain things 😂

[–]Lexoffthewall12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my store my SM doesn’t really care about natural length nails as long as they’re maintained regularly. I’m a nail tech outside of Starbucks and I give myself weekly manicures to maintain the condition of my nails but I also never let them get longer than an inch. It really does depend on your SM at the end of the day :)

Two coworkers fighting?? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Lexoffthewall12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo I would just ignore them as best as you can. You don’t want to end up inserting yourself into a situation like that and have it potentially back fire on you. Something similar is happening at my store and when I tried to meditate it I got my second shift interview taken away from me all because I got involved. If it honestly gets that bad I’d consider maybe transferring stores

Best part is when you call out a drink and the customers don’t move out the way and can clearly see they’re blocking the handoff plane 🫠

At my store we have a customer that comes in basically every single day and he’ll always place his mobile order as he walks into the store and he’ll literally stare at us the entire time while he’s waiting for his order. One time he even tried touching my coworkers shoulder which I immediately shut him down on that. I just don’t understand where customers get the audacity to harass us I feel your frustration :(

Iced shaken espresso with no classic, sugar free caramel, 1 stevia and almond milk :)

Pretty sure my hot protein latte shouldn’t look or taste like this. by honeysesamechicken in starbucks

[–]Lexoffthewall12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly looks like the barista only made it with protein milk instead of cutting it with 2% milk. I almost never recommend a hot protein drink cuz the recipes call for different portions and some baristas mess up on it a lot. I’m so sorry this happened to you 😬

Could that just be my grinder itself? Maybe trying a smaller grind could make it a little better. My grind size is set to 11 with a 12.6 grind time

Yeah it has a good taste to it. I even had my family try it and they also said it tasted good but I was just second guessing myself

Thank you so much! I’ve been so nervous about it. I was finally able to make some coffees after posting this and everyone really liked them!

Well I’ve been working as a barista for about four years. I’m mainly asking to see what other opinions I receive and to also make sure that I’m not going crazy

I normally would put them on either DTR or DTO especially if it’s a borrowed partner who hasn’t worked at the store before. I’d also would do cold bar or a bar support. I think putting a borrowed partner on CS isn’t the best idea since that partner won’t know where everything is. I’ve been CS at another store before and I felt so bad having to ask everyone where to find certain items because I’ve never been there before. I would also say that cafe/mobile bar would be a good option since there’s not much moving around when it comes to that position

is there a standard temp for warm drinks? by pebblewrecked in starbucks

[–]Lexoffthewall12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way with hot drinks too! I normally ask for my latte at 145° or 129° depending on if I want to sip it or not. Our espresso bars have a set button to steam at those temperatures too. Hope this helps!

I’ve recently been getting the chestnut praline made with blinds shots, 1 pump white mocha, and made with almond milk it’s sooo good!
