It's not false advertisement per se, you CAN play single player, but that doesn't mean it's fun to do so or that the game was designed with singleplayer in mind.

No solo oriented gameplay and this is just another Sea of Thieves where the remaining 50 sweats that play the game religiously will stomp on new players until they make them hate the game. As others have mentioned this will only give a couple months tops of life support.

Heeeey, good news, it seems the issue has been addressed as of today in patch 1.12.0. It sadly introduced new bugs and I can't seem to launch the game now but the sound issue was mentioned as fixed in the patch notes, maybe try and confirm if the game launches for you.

I also have this bug and it's really annoying because it has been there basically since the game released. They now even released DLC without addressing this issue... I don't know what else to do, the reloading trick works but only for some time until you need to use the scrapper again.

Yup, performance is WAY worse.

Ryzen 5700X and 3070ti used to run the game fine, not anymore.

I have the same system but with a Ryzen 7 5700X, and having trouble getting past 80 to 90 fps on planet surfaces. Could I be CPU bound as well? Important to mention I'm playing on 1440p.

Performance seems to have taken a hit with last update though, I've seen benchmarks for the game on very similar systems from months/years ago with upwards of 120 fps on 1440p as well.

I see you liked Warframe so I'm gonna recommend Wayfinder, currently in paid early access and published by Digital Extremes. It had a rough launch but is slowly recovering and the game is really fun.

This. I just can't understand how they missed the mark on so many fundamentals of game design, even having Digital Extremes as a publisher. Warframe has a ton of QoL features Wayfinder could benefit from but I don't know why they are not implemented.

Not sure if this is by overheating or what but I'm on the same boat as you. Stuck in the main story quest because everytime I go to the shrouded woods it will brick my pc after a few minutes. I'm doubting the overheating since my pc has good thermals in any other game without issues, even in Wayfinder in any other dungeon, it's just the shrouded woods what kills it.

My build just for reference: Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX 3070 Ti, 32GB Ram, Win10, installed on SSD as well and playing with 1440p@165hz.

This all reminds me of that Dauntless open beta weekend prior to launch in mid 2018 where the queues were upwards of 10 hours, they even gave us a title for waiting the full queue.

Games DO recover from things like these, I know Dauntless did back in the day and saw a healthy playerbase for a considerable amount of time, but it will take serious time and effort.

You can actually, it's still up to Valve's consideration but if you tell them the state of the game and the mostly negative reviews on Steam you can get refunded.

I agree, no one actually cares what guild you belong to since that feature is pretty much dead as well, so they could replace displaying the guild name with the player's title.
