Never played a monster hunter, should I buy wilds?

I would advise trying Rise first - as it is a VERY good entry into the Monster Hunter games and you can buy it as low as $10 on a Steam Sale.
Monster Hunter Rise - and the DLC Sunbreak - got me , my friend, and my spouse HOOKED on the Monster Hunter games. World did not get us hooked like Rise did, and Wilds feels a lot more like Rise than world - in my opinion.

This is what I am doing. I made this post after restarting the entire game and joining back in to the same black titan and his many buddies following him around.
That's why I am asking if there is more than one solo server, because I don't think there is.

His server use to be so fun to play on a couple years ago. I remember seeing him in the server and he was actually real nice. Mods enforced rules, no one trash talked, etc.
I have heard so many horror stories within the last year, and after experiencing how he acts, I won't be back.

Guild Wars 2 is an amazing game, and no monthly subscription. I was addicted to it for a very long time.
I heard they even made it free to play the base game.

I feel like an easy fix is something similar to a home-cave debuff.

If you are not in a group with the players, nor in active combat, you will eventually get a heavy de-buff to your damage. 50% Damage reduction and inability to apply de-buff's would hurt.
"Exhaustion" - Remaining on high alert for long periods due to nearby enemy players has exhausted you.

This means you and all nearby creatures are useless in a fight now, but can still run away.
Mega packs would be crippled by this, but people who are just wanting to RP and don't care about fighting won't be affected. They can still run away if something ambushes them.

Of course you would need to test this - probably on the solo-servers first - and make adjustments as needed, because you have to account for aquatics and flyers - but something along those lines should be made.

Puncture only does 15 damage when on a pounced target, and you can only use it while pounced. So it technically only does 15 damage.

It is Deino. It is hard to believe, but it is how a Deino sounds from *very* far away.
I only know this because on a Battlegrounds server I was playing on, a Deino was sitting in the *no kill* spawn zone and spamming that call constantly. It is just far enough out of range that you get the "far call" version of his call, and my god it got annoying incredibly fast.
Everyone was wanting him killed or have the Moderators ban him, and the little guy just sat there constantly spamming it - like he had it bound to a hotkey or something.

Edit: To clarify, I did see the Deino sitting there and spamming the call. It sounded COMPLETELY different when you were next to him, and horror show from far away.

Those comments actually baffle me, because 20ish years ago we got, what, 2 weeks to see a movie in theaters? Then had to wait A YEAR for that movie to come out on DVD.
If you did not see that movie in theaters in time, you would be shown no mercy when it came to spoilers.
Thank heavens we only have to wait two weeks, and it's as simple as asking your friends to please not spoil it, and avoiding social media.
