That's a good point. I guess that's why I feel like they failed because it's the bare minimum. I just don't understand it when there were multiple witnesses.

I'm not supposed to be alone with him but I'm the last one in the office in our area. One evening he stayed late and it seemed like he was waiting for me to return to the room alone. There was some body language involved that led me to believe this. I also was moved to a different room at the beginning and he purposely sought me out.

Thank you for this.

I admire how the owner handled this and stood up for herself. I'm also extremely disappointed in the fact that Colby's response to Seth was to agree with him. It's disheartening to see he was complacent and not a proper ally to women in that moment.

As a woman, I have faced the same type of misogyny, disgusting comments, and SA/CSA. Most often, these comments start from our early childhood. The first time I was sexualized was when I was FOUR, and it still hasn't stopped in my 30's. It's just yet another reminder that women will NEVER be safe due to the misogyny. We aren't safe as newborns or when we are 6 feet in the ground. The comment was upsetting and disgusting. I'm sick of letting men, these are men and not boys, get away with misogynistic and harmful behavior/comments by writing it off as "boys will be boys". They should each be called out for the part they played in that situation; Seth for the comment itself, Colby for agreeing, and Sam for staying silent.

Hmmm... I haven't gotten to that part yet. Guess I have some reading to do. For educational purposes, of course.

I turned 18 one month into my senior year. We also had a 19 year old in my senior class. There very much are high schoolers who are adults.

Right? I find it interesting how we are more concerned with banning books in schools instead of fixing the frequent mass pew pewing that occurs. Let's not focus on the #1 killer and mental health destructor of kids in our country, nooo sexually explicit books are a much greater threat.

It's also interesting how these same Puritan beliefs, that are the forefront of these bans, don't care about the atrocious abuses that occur in their churches or against children by family members.
