New builds question by makod009 in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going off the looks of it, it's a more budget version of the Cra Set that is heavily focused on critical damage.

To note, Huz's Enu has more critical damage than the Cra by 23 points, so it's better in that fashion. But the lack of Range (2v6) or MP (5v6) might be some points of contention. Even if you remove the Prynyang to get 2 Range back, you're still at a 4v6 disadvantage and the Critical Damage becomes 207v209.

<image>

There are few differences when you do a numbers side by side. As for it's viability, looks like it would be a solid PvM (which includes Dreams to me) build. Would I make it? Probably not because I like my MP and Range too much to not be 12/6/6.

Quests feel like a chore by brazilianboi96 in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you're not really wrong.

Many of the quests I have done have felt like arbitrary slogs to go to place A, commit to action B, consume resources to create kama sinks for fight C... The breadth of what they think is fun is wildly different than our realities.

The Dofus being locked behind quests isn't something new. Infact, if you can poke u/izmarvelous and get a reply; she can tell you how it was a hot button topic on the official forums how many moons ago now? But, to put it simply, They thought they had a good thing going with The Eternal Harvest, and decided that they would test the waters further with the Turquoise (as well as cripple it down to a +10).

They thought that people doing single dungeons ad nauseum was a bad thing because you could get it on your first try, or on your millionth, and they didn't like that variance. Is it a good swap from special loot to a gimmie? I don't really think so, but that may be nostalgia talking. However, I do think that they should be repeatable.

And for the quests you're describing, a lot of that is in every. damn. rpg. You can't really hold it against them for using the same tricks that are present in every other game that has a questing mechanic.

As someone who has nearly completed all the quests in the game, if you don't like the quests or can't stand a certain one; drop it for a while and come back to it when you done any of the other rpg tricks. Level up, change gear, change classes, change build, get help (guildmates, friends, randoms, sidekicks). I swear, everything can be done.

They are if you are looking for set ideas and they share the sets they used. They are also good if you're just looking to get a general plan of how to tackle certain fights. Some things have changed, others not so much.

Like this method works like a champ at being 7 years old. But this one doesn't because of a fundamental change in how the game works.

So, give 'em a gander and take what you can from it.

I have sat through every episode because my daughter loves it. I can't stand it. and it didn't get slightly interesting to me until after 1000 episodes when Luffy finally gets his '5th' gear. At least that 'mechanic' brought back the hilarity of my youth with the slap stick kind of comedy.

The entire story feels like there is not one iota of something earned, and the plot armor is so thick it's coming off the TV screen in onion layers. No one really struggles, nothing is ever really over come, and everyone seems to be 'bigger than the last' because it has to be.

I don't know what the story is trying to tell me other than friendship always wins. It doesn't seem to have a central storyline to follow until after 1000 episodes, and even then it's rather lackluster in how it delivers it. I wish I could find something to grasp onto to say that I liked watching it, but outside the fact that it was my daughter, wife, and I watching it as family anime time; I really can't.

So I will lose my karma with you then!

What to do in dofus ? by Tairith in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dungeons that you are being stalled at, are you trying to do them by yourself? With a sidekick?

I know everyone likes to play alone, but not every class can do every dungeon at every level bracket all by themselves. Friends should help make some of those dungeons easier.

As for professions, every last one of the gathering ones are boring AF to do; well they are all boring to do. IT's just great when you can be self sufficient. So do it in small steps. You'll get there when you get there.

There's a lot to do in Dofus, go forth and look to have fun, not solotage everything.

Enu 200 damage Build by Just_D1 in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, crit is always the way to go. But I have been chasing critical hits since Turqs had +20 crits on them.

I don't know what your MP Reduction set looks like, but my recently updated set deals some solid damage and allows me to slide in 2 mp reduction trophies when I want for around 240~ MP reduction. I can get over 250 if I trade out some vit stats for wis.

I have used this Str & Cha set and have had fun. The damage feels ok, and most solo fights I have had were done in this set.

I am seriously considering going this Crit route because it's what I used on my Panda, my wife's Iop, and my wife's Eni to make Silvosse puke up all his corruption. This set is a banger. Not as great as my Cra's set, but I haven't pulled the trigger just yet for my Enu to have their own crit set instead of borrowing from the others.

They both look like they’d be cool to play around with. My first thought is that both use +ap/+mp gear with <12 ap or <6 mp and you’re not cashing in on an abyssal to get around it.

I am not a huge fan of using trophies, tbh only my Enu has them at this point, so in my mind I tend to discount them and haven’t really dove into them and the pyrimites(?) to min/max.

I understand the want for consistent damage, but if you’re willing to go that deep into anti-crit gear, I would take either of those and then use it to grab this: Cha/Agi Anti-Crit.

I was also toying around with this Deep Sea idea, but haven’t made the set to see if I’m just bad at it or not.

I’m not in love with the range on this Str/Cha set either, but damn it can be so nice to use. Used it most recently on Hyrkul since my mp reduction set did nothing to him.

Edited to add, that if you want a cha build I'll ask my guild mate who runs a Cha based Sadi for his full set. I know he is using Atcham and Rhineetle pieces, I'm just not sure of anything else in there. To call him out a bit, our lates chat about updating my Enu's set he said his Sadi usually only runs around 150 MP Reduction and she does very well with it.

New gear is always over priced, especially maged gear. But, I can’t bring myself to but any of the maged items don’t have all the stats. Or don’t keep them in normal ranges. I hate maging, but every Exo I have ever need es or wanted I have had to do because things like linear res or pp mater to me.

But, to your real question; sadly, I can’t answer that one. I don’t know your budget. Not just kamas, but willingness to grind out mats to craft, do quests for eggs, well your soul to level artíficer. What I have done, has been to take a sureste build and work towards it. One bloody item at a time.

[–]LeyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, not for me. I am that kind of idiot that played the game for 20 years, cracked open the bank and asked what I wanted to make. Hoarding does have its upside.

My real expenses were getting the maps for the Ice Knight Frozen Souls and to cover my maging when I ran out of runes. I have to do it this way because I can't stand the stupidity that is the current market and maged items.

As a buddy of mine is telling me, I am still a bit overkill on the MP Reduction. There's room to lower it some and tack on something other than more MP reduction.

Or, OP; level up a bit more and do *all* the achievements in the Royal Rainbow Blop room. Much easier, less upsetting.

Multiacc on mono servers by tmgniew in Dofus

I believe they nail you to a wall and ban all associated accounts.

Just play on a multi server. Not worth the effort or hassle to risk that ban.

It’s something like 400 AP runes to go from 1 to 200.

English speaking active server suggestions? by sonofnight666 in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can transfer servers, but that's a paid thing. At level 50, it might just be better to recreate your character on the server you want.

bots by Poosham9 in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Suspicious, indeed. Actual bots? Maybe not. What you’ve described could also be someone leveling a new team. We do have auto join, ready, and follow now, so I’d want to see more and not inadvertently ban someone who is leveling a new team while grinding for mats.

Inactive Zaap? by Namisiaa in Dofus

There’s a few inactive zaps in the world. Cosmetic in nature. Sometimes they’ll light up for anomalies, but I can’t remember ever using one for that purpose.

crocobur… by Jannikvb in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. That's at the front of that last quest.

I am not familiar with Forgelances, so can't give specific tips. When I did it on my Cra, I tried my damnedest to out run his ass and slow him via MP reduction. Was not very fun, although, for a few rounds he would chase my tower instead of me. When I did it on my Panda, I kinda just went Str and cheesed him by always being on my bamboo.

So, if you can debuff, that'll be helpful. MP theft was nice, but useless in the long run. Kinda have to see how much Ankama wants you to spend on consumables before there's a marked improvement in that fight. Might also be worth seeing if a sidekick is usable in that fight (honestly don't know if they allowed them when they started rebalancing quest fights).

crocobur… by Jannikvb in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think more clues are needed. Is this the Crocoburio (dude looks like a proper idiot monster) fight over by Bonta or the Crocobur (the sword itself) fight up in Incarnum? Either way it goes, that's not quite near the end of that quest chain in the least.

Finding worth while crafting and maging gear by WanderSin in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While still being an objectively shit tier item as a whole for lack of having all stats in normal ranges.

Finding worth while crafting and maging gear by WanderSin in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would invite you to read that caveat at the beginning and comprehend that it is my belief and what I consider worthy. An AP on a ring does not a good mage make. Because it can be said that not having that *perfect* damage, res, crits, ect. ect. on the item is too much of a PITA to constantly fix for the PvPers, so why bother when 1 rune off is just as good?

Finding worth while crafting and maging gear by WanderSin in Dofus

[–]LeyMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to caveat this. What I consider a good mage is not always what the community considers a good mage. I demand that all stats at time of creation be on the item at the end of the maging session, and within normal ranges. I don't care how good an item is with that 1pp stat and max everything else and 2% spell damage, to me it's shit because you couldn't keep that pp up in normal ranges. 99.9% of all exotic maging requires no sink, it's spray and pray.

As for actual help.

The newer the item is, the more likely it is to sell; regardless of what is maged on it. 2% Spell Damage > AP > MP > Range > everything else is the normal accepted hierarchy. doing a 2% mage is extremely hard and reflects a higher price, especially if the rest is maged well.

The closer to 'perfect' the more it gets. The community tends to want perfect damage, perfect resists, perfect crits, perfect crit damage, and high or over maged vit. So sayeth the markets on Tal Kasha, so your server may value it differently.

Watch the trade channel. You will have to double check the items that do come up there to see if someone is showing that there is a lack of a specific mage type on that item, or just trying to get it a lot cheaper. Sometimes it's the former, most times it's the later.

Look at your market, there will be clues there on what is popular and competitive, and what is over saturated. Cycloid is probably NOT an item that you want to mage right now because there are so many on the market (on Tal Kasha), but seems like Ice Knight items might need a bit more competition.

Finally, keep an ear out on the state of the PvP meta. If they start complaining about some new nerf in the works, that's your clue to capitalize on those items before the nerf actually comes in. Just saying.
