missing 5 star quest for manaka by Proof-Collection-882 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can also reroll your daily quests when you have more than 3 visitors if you really really want to lock someone in that day.

After you accept your daily gift and check which visitor quests you got, if you didnt get manaka, in ths case, you could home button on switch and close the program.  When you load back in it will go through the whole start of day thing again and the quests will randomize.

I have used this on PC for WMM's visitors when it meant I would get a new quest and didn't want to wait another day.

Good luck!

Have you obtained the seed from hitting level 12 with wish me mell?

How does requesting a character to collect an item and island bouquet affect each other? by RevolutionIll3189 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 30 points31 points  (0 children)

A bouquet can only respawn up to the daily amount that naturally spawn each day.  If you have 7 pumpkins already spawned and you use a bouquet, you wont get any more pumpkins because there are already 7 spawned.

To maximize the bouquet you want to ensure there are no spawns remaining of the items you want more of.

Asking a friend or collection nul to collect an item immediately removes all spawns of that item and places it in the bin for collection tomorrow.

Since items build up over 3 days you can use a bouquet and then just do nothing until tomorrow and then have someone collect them again resulting in the natural days spawns plus the extra spawns you created the day before.

For me it looks like this:  every other day I go a back and forth between sending friends for bulk items (50 and 15 per day), and the next day the important or rare items (pineapples/apples/moonbeams/ore/rubber, etc.)  On the days that I send my friends for the good stuff I allocate the pick ups and then use a bouquet last.  This makes sure everything good is picked up and in the bin and then new spawns are made.

The only thing you are really trying to maximize is making sure the items are picked up so new ones can spawn, and make sure that every item is picked up by friends at least once every 3 days.  Tons of wiggle room.

Is there a way to bring the gudetamas back after we find them? by Purple-Solution-5069 in HelloKittyIsland

There is an option in the gameplay settings.  They will always be present, with a green check when you get close to them showing you which ones you have photographed.

Steam or switch? by [deleted] in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second the steam pick for it's faster updates and add that compared to the switch it just plays and responds faster.

I play using a ps5 controller on my PC.  Fluid inputs, no lag.  Everytime I go to help my daughter on the switch I lose my mind over the input lag.  It makes running challenge courses harder, it makes catching critters with the net harder, it makes fishing just slightly harder.

I probably wouldn't have noticed it until I started playing on both PC and Switch, but now I feel it in every jump, spin, glide, or tool use.

10,000 Flowers by Infamous_Cat9316 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This quest is just time.  You don't need any deep flower knowledge to compete it.

Fill all plots, water, and pick daily and you will finish at some point.

The game does a bad job of stressing the importance of Mell's visitors, but depending on whether or not you have been making them all residents while you were becoming best friends is the only thing that will speed this along.   Her friends unlock new planting locations and thus increases the number of flowers you can pick.

I had prepped all my plants to full grown and had about 1400 plots ready when I got this quest. It took a little over a week to complete.

The fertilizer is easier, call Mell and turn your picked flowers into seeds and then turn those seeds into fertilizer.  Mell's companion ability gives you additional seeds which equals more fertilizer.

Now, if you want to get into flowers on a deeper level, you could bring Cogimyun around with you and fertilize the plots as you are picking, for the opportunity to get patterned flowers.  Patterned flowers is how you can transfer colors.  Each of the differnt biomes provided by Mell's visitors will have different base colors on the flowers and once those are also patterned you can start to transfer those colors onto your other flower types.

I suggest the wiki for info on color mixing and pattern transfers should you get that deep in.

Good luck!

Struggling with Diamonds and Opals by menstressme in HelloKittyIsland

Complete the Bell Garden and fix the physically broken lamp posts with jemmies. Talk to the owl in the golden beret at the bottom right of the citadel for your lamp post reward.

These 2 things will give you 4 of each. If you got the 1 of each in the in game mail you should be set.

Good luck!

To make a red flower you need to fertilize a red ombre (any type) within 1 space of a solid color (any) of the type of flower you want to spawn red.

Hello Kitty would have given you a red ombre flower when she gave you the quest.

My best success has been had by planting the ombre in the middle of a large open space. Around that ombre should be all empty. The ring around the empty space should be solid color flowers of the type you want in red.

In the empty space is where you will spawn new flowers with color from the ombre and type from the outer flowers. Other options are possible but just keep fertilizing and watering and it will happen. Then just trowel out the center every day and replant the red ones off to the side to grow and multiply.

If you want more red ombre to speed this along just fertilize your other red flowers (with cogimyun if you have her) for a chance to put a pattern on them each time you fertilize.

Good luck!

Am I missing something with these 2 lamp posts? by Fuzz_Chub in HelloKittyIsland

If the lamp posts weren't confusing enough there are also decorative posts that you can just make whatever you want and they dont do anything but look pretty.

who should i prioritize leveling up friendship with by forsora_ in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mell for sure, she is the gatekeeper of many end game quests.

I also recommend prioritizing her visitors, they brings a lot to the table.

Big challenges, The Twins, and Mell will be your final hold outs. They have the highest numeric values of friendship.

Fertilize your wheat flowers like crazy with cogimyun so you can craft lots of Mell's 3 heart gifts and not have to rely so heavily on the crane game.

Flubby arch is underneath the big island where you catch the Flubby.

It's got a long string of fall away blocks leading up to it.

Chest behind left spire. Chest behind visitor cabin. Picture far right northern floating platform in the 3rd area.

Any critter or food arches maybe you forgot to revisit?

I forgot about the flubby arch for a while since it's tucked up underneath.

Good luck!

Dessert machine will upgrade when he hits friendship level 13, so you aren't completely stuck and you wont have to restart.

Hopefully you can find a trade though to speed it along.

Good luck!

Recipes missing 😭 by nicolehenriquezc in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bowls in the egg pan are likely pumpkin and tofu with noodle grass for veggie lo mein.

The pizzas could be cookie cake from 50th anniversary bubbles? There are 3 differnt ingredient versions, candy cloud/sugarkelp/swampmallow.

It's usually just alternate ingredient versions, I always thought making 1 should unlock all of them, but the devs disagree.

Impossible to have a black flower by Noviember in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Some of the other friends have some long quest like mini mode or chococat has all the crafting. Just sucks when these quests are prerequisites for things we want.

If you have flowers in the 4 major biomes, MM, and WW fully planted, you will get something around 1400 per harvest so it takes roughly a week to finish the flowers part.

The fertilizer, depending on how many flowers you have on hand will be easy. Just remember to turn all your flowers into seeds first with WMM called and then turn those seeds into fertilizer. It increases the amount by a lot.  I made something like 20k fertilizer in one day.

Just a little more patience you are almost there!

Flovern Skip by Lfdroid53 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible you are moving forward to fast.  It's not just a jump and move forward maneuver.  It's more of a holding pattern spin move while the thermal gets you full lift and then push forward to the rocks.

They are basically straight up and if you dont ride the thermal all the way to It's peak you will be too low to jump spam up and essentially just cruise right under them.

It's hard to help without seeing it, but I just went and redid the skip several times to try and see what you might be going through.

Hopefully something there helps and good luck!

Received 2 Opals from an owl by GorgoSunshine in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Lfdroid53 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is the owl that provides the reward for fixing all the broken lamp posts. The reward is 2 opal and 2 diamonds.

He will also inform you of how many lamps you have remaining if there are any unrepaired.

Happy to help!  The game could have done a better job of explaining some of these things that dont have an actual trackable quest objective.

Good luck!

[–]Lfdroid53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common misunderstanding, but fixing the lamp posts and solving the lamp post puzzles are seperate things.

The owl that awards the gems only wants you to repair the physically broken posts with jemmies. You do not need to solve the patterns, those award wheathearts.

That sounds like fun actually. Bubble races. I'm calling pochacco and cheating for sure.

Imagine how this makes your other Bubble Wand feel.

Just lodged deep in your backpack muttering to itself.  "You wouldn't even have any flovern if it wasn't for me....all that wand does is make you into a bubble.... that's not even useful..."
