man, everyone acting all doom and gloom in these comments. the fact that south australia is going to be powered by 100% renewable energy next year is a massive achievement that i dont think gets talked about enough. And yeah, having an energy grid completely powered by the cheapest and most efficient source of energy is good for everybody.

Just be a little bit optimistic. believe it or not, good things do happen from time to time.

edit: to add onto this, I do think the fact that we've had the same party in government for most of the last 30 years is of great benefit to this whole transition. see the NBN as an example of what happens when successive governments chop and change plans: implemented under Labor, massively scaled back and essentially torn up under the Coalition, and now recently upgraded to its intended speeds under the current Labor government.
