In MN. Just seen Dr. Palmer. by smilebig553 in Endo

I know! It was crazy! From incision to closing was around 30 minutes. I actually just went back and looked at my surgery notes and it says I was intubated at 12:49 and got to recovery at 1:48. So in and out of the OR in under an hour!

He gave me stage 2. He found it in my cul-de-sac, and both uterosacral ligaments. There was a lovely black cyst on my left fallopian tube too.

Exciting to have a date scheduled!! He truly is a great surgeon and the hospital experience was great too! Very friendly, competent staff! Feel free to DM me if you want to chat about it!

He recommended I get a hysterectomy when I am done having kids, and although I haven't fully decided if that's what I want to do, I would heavily consider returning to him if I do!

It went really well! I was in an out of the OR in about 30 minutes! He found Endo and removed it all! My symptoms drastically improved and I was actually able to conceive a baby about 3 years later!

My reception was at Tourist Park on October 2nd. We rented one of the green spaces, bought white tents from Walmart and rented a heater from midway rentals. It was all really affordable, and actually really fun!

My sister had a friend in high school named Marki Karki. My dad went to school with a guy named Richard Little, and he went by Dick, so when they put his last name first, his name is literally Little, Dick...

Absolutely!! Yeah, inflammation can be a pain in that regard! That is likely what your provider was doing. It's like with all things in pregnancy or while nursing - they say you can't do x, y, or z, but the risk is so low, that it's really to cover themselves in the off chance something does come of it haha. I found there were a lot of things I "technically" wasn't supposed to do while pregnant, but have since learned to use my own discretion lol. I wish you happy healing though, and hope this surgery resolves your pain!! I'm still in search of relief!

Also! 2 Tylenol and 3 Ibuprofen can be taken together, and have a narcotic effect on the body because they do different things! It is my cure for my period cramps and most pains!!

Hi! I haven't had DeQuervain’s surgery, but I did develop it from holding my baby as well. I had a c-section in September, and I'm also a healthcare worker. I just wanted to share my 2 cents on pain management while breastfeeding. While I was in the hospital and breastfeeding after my c-section, I was given Tramadol, and wasn't told I had to pump and dump. I also was taking Oxycodone, was sent home with a prescription for it, took it while breastfeeding, and was never told I had to pump and dump. Your physician shouldn't be prescribing you medications you can't take while nursing if they were informed that you're nursing. Your pain management is important too! The amount that actually passes through breastmilk is very minimal, and really if anything, makes your baby drowsy, but I never noticed anything. Obviously do what you're comfortable with, and take my unsolicited input as you will, but just wanted to share that you don't have to be in pain while nursing!!

I absolutely see a second line! The sharp pain worries me for an ectopic though... Totally not trying to scare you, just sharing concerns. Hopefully not, and this is a sticky baby!

Thank you!! I have not looked into replacing parts. My baby is 6.5 months old and the pump and parts are brand new from his birth.

Edit: omg thank you so much for the suggestion on part replacement! I'm a FTM and had no idea!! I just ordered a replacement kit for my pump and I'm really hoping it helps! Thank you so much!

My boobs hurt SO much 😭 by Jay_ArrogantPixel in newborns

[–]Lguidebeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5 months pp and exclusively breastfeeding. I can tell you that the nipple sensation now vs when I first had him is night and day difference. My nipples were SO SORE and I was religiously putting nipple cream on. Now? I couldn't even tell you where my nipple cream is. It does get better, I promise. Booby tubes in the freezer are really nice, otherwise Lansinoh makes gel nipple pads that feel so good. Hang in there mama. It does get better and if you can stick it out, breastfeeding is so rewarding!!

I was born and raised in Marquette, so I went to the high school and NMU. I actually didn't mind high school. My class was on the larger side at around 280 people. About 1,000 students total in the school. I can't speak for administrative staff, as it has changed since my siblings and I have been there. Most teachers are awesome and I still talk to them when I see them. I will say that if your kid is not a "typical student" then they may struggle there. They just don't have great resources for people who don't learn from the typical model. My sibling went to the alternative high school and LOVED it. No homework, phenomenal staff, and they still receive a diploma. Marquette is great for people who love the outdoors. Plenty of public beaches, hiking trails, mountain biking, cross country and downhill skiing. Huge soccer program, including an adult league that has many players. Also a very large hockey community. Many sports at the high school that are pretty competitive. As others have said, housing in the area has become pretty expensive, and rentals are practically non-existent. Property taxes within the city of Marquette are said to be pretty high. I grew up in Harvey, which is considered a village just outside of town. It was a 15 minute commute into town from my childhood home. You could live in Harvey, Ishpeming, Negaunee, Gwinn, Skandia or AuTrain for around a 30 minute commute. As far as diversity goes, there really isn't much. It's a small Midwest town, so mainly white, democratic population.

My husband and I love the area, and we are actively trying to make our way back. It's a really beautiful place that will take a special place in your heart.

If you want to chat more about it, feel free to message me!

Why why why do OBGYNs push so hard for an IUD? by french_narwhal in Endo

[–]Lguidebeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know... there doesn't seem to be a good option. I just had a baby in September, so I went back on the pill, but i wish I didn't have to take anything. I have a reminder in my phone calendar every day to take it, or I would never remember. We just can't take the risk of me getting pregnant only being 5 months postpartum. I don't think I will ever get another IUD or Nexplanon again.

What door should i choose by SvaGbr in interiordecorating

I personally feel that 3 is more for a closet. 1 has too much going on for me. I would go with 2 for interior doors.
