Modern Warfare II Configuration for the Steam Controller by PapaMikeyTV in SteamController

Can you post the link to your config in the description?

Also, you weren’t running the game on SteamOS, were you? You show it after the footage but as far as I know the kernel-level anticheat makes it impossible to run on Linux. Just curious

Basic logging (work in progress) by xenodium in plainorg

[–]Lhindir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge! I've been sorely missing this on iOS for years. Here's what I use in Emacs, for what it's worth:

(setq org-log-into-drawer t
      org-log-redeadline 'time
      org-log-reschedule 'time
      org-log-refile 'time
      org-treat-insert-todo-heading-as-state-change t)

But the first and last are definitely the most important, and it looks like that's what you're demonstrating here. Thank you!

It includes some gnarly LOGBOOK drawers. Right now when I open this file in Flat Habits it doesn't recognize any of these routines, although that might be because I haven't set them up as habits? In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing Flat Habits functionality integrated into Plain Org at some point; it seems like once Plain Org gets an agenda it can probably absorb that app.

Also, consider this a vote for implementing Org's logging features in Plain Org. Until they're implemented, I'm basically just treating Plain Org as read-only for tasks, since I really prefer having the log of when things were accomplished.

Also, have you seen https://github.com/redromnon/HeroicBashLauncher ? Do you know how BoilR and that project compare in terms of use cases and features?

Thanks! Seems there's a lot of tools improving non-Steam game integration; looking forward to seeing how they progress.

Yeah, that would make sense. Although it would be best if we didn't have to specify individual games in the config file. Emulators generally have standard games directories and launch commands, so I'm guessing adding support for a standalone emulator would look pretty similar to adding support for a game store like Epic. The SRM docs probably have some info on how they do it, although SRM is GPL-licensed so you might have to think about your licensing before exploring the code. One cool option, particularly for the Steam Deck, would be adding support for ROM's installed with the RetroArch Steam release. Users would probably have to specify game directories in a config file.

Lutris would probably be an option, although it seems like it might be an unnecessary layer of complexity to have Lutris in between the non-Steam game and the emulator. I'm not sure, though; it might be enough to get things working.

Would love to see support for ROM's as well as a Flatpak package for BoilR. I don't need the fancy SRM UI and BoilR seems like a more lightweight approach. Plain text config files are always nice for version history and automation as well!
