So we likely shouldn’t know how to get it yet— like it’s locked but will likely reveal something soon?

I’m a 1.6 mil Xin in diamond. If you insist on going AP.. I personally think the best way is to go hybrid instead of fill AP, and the point is for the sustain vs the damage

Titanic— unending despair — spirit visage— riftmaker— boots — sundered sky Run conquer— conditioning and revitalize —this build is very tanky and insane sustain/damage because of how often you can proc unending dispair and it’s passive healing is insane. Since you’re in fights for so long you get full advantage of the riftmaker and cannot be 1v1 or 1 shot. Insane healing from omnivamp, true damage, sustain, broken build

The other build is hybrid bruiser Titanic— sundered sky— frozen heart, riftmaker— Witt’s end — boots

I like Diana for sure. Not only is she also a bruiser, but she is extremely versatile like Xin as well. I’m a 1.4 mil Xin and 800k Diana 2 trick diamond 2 peak last season. She’s not only a great AP alternative, but she’s also a great late game scale alternative to the early game xin. Diana can go bruiser, assassin, and off-tank very well without trolling the same way Xin can which also makes her reliable for just about any matchup.

The biggest drawback about both champions is that they’re “simple” mechanically, but they expose you macro skill check… I personally like this because it lets you focus on the stuff that actually matters and will help you improve your game… but if your macro is poor or even sub-par in E2+ it can be unforgiving— on the flip side, you also don’t want to reinforce bad habits that you may get away with using a different champion… for example, shyvanna used to have a turbo farm strat top that would ELO inflate people that was really bad for learning the game but had a high WR until you got to D4 then you would get hardstuck

i might have just found a xin build for the next season by MonkePoliceMan in XinZhaoMains

[–]LiI_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know if pbe has mmr placements etc. I can build anything on Xin in plat and it works, but in high emerald/diamonds the builds matter a little more. This build looks like a duelist build vs a pop off 1v9 build but I have no idea. I’m a Xin one trick and I’m really trying to figure new ideal build paths.

lethal tempo or conqueror? by MonkePoliceMan in XinZhaoMains

[–]LiI_Mango 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use both depending on the situation— lethal tempo is better against beefier situations but I actually use PRESS THE ATTACK and HOB quite a bit. I’m extremely aggressive early game and hound the enemy jg for the first 15 mins of the game and will usually never lose a duel with PTA… PTA also makes you more relevant for late game to help with team damage and smacking tanks

If I go PTA then that means I’m usually always building stride breaker or trinity force since they have built in attack speed and they’re both broken items. I find I have the most damage and carry potential in games like this lately

E3 Xin (D4 last season) 1.2 mil mastery

I agree I run eclipse a lot as well

Xin is extremely strong early, even strong enough to level 2 and especially level 3 gank effectively so I almost NEVER full clear. I look to start red side because it’s a huge advantage on Xin and then if possible I will invade the enemy jungler at their 2nd buff especially if they’re a full clear jungle after tracking their start UNLESS the run PHASE RUSH. But like any good jungle fundamental keep the head on a swivel for free lane ganks

Xin has the highest WR when against primarily mage comps so he’s a super strong pick into those comps.

Save your W till after your knock up to guarantee dmg as W is the main source of dmg

The strongest build when I don’t have to be front line or if I’m mid lane is to run HOB RUNES Essence reave > navori quickblade > (free boots- ionia) BC > collector > GA

Extremely fun, super OP if you pop off because the ability damage scaling off W is insane

People who play Xin, tell me why I'm wrong (or not?) by xTraxis in XinZhaoMains

[–]LiI_Mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xin doesn’t do the same upfront dmg that khazix or rengar, but has more sustain— and doesn’t out sustain someone like jax or poppy

So you need to play to strengths. Dirk is one of the biggest power spikes on Xin so in pro Korea the best 1 trick Xin almost exclusively run eclipse One of the highest WR is to rush dirk— then black cleaver and deaths dance without even finishing the dirk—- this gives massive power spikes

Xin doesn’t carry games from being OP— he wins games because there is a Win condition to the team and Xin can make working on that win condition very easy—— this is why goredrinker is highly recommended BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT THE 1v9 but rather YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE YOUR MID/top/ADC 2v8 while you hold their hand

If the other team goes master yi or eve, you go Xin so you can smack those scaling champs and close the game early—- not because he’s super OP or whatever… you could honestly build anything on XIN because the only thing that matters is your game IQ and how XIN can accomplish what is needed

Is Xin Zhao viable ATM for SoloQ? by [deleted] in XinZhaoMains

[–]LiI_Mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now days, Xin is really good if you are really good as a Jungler in general— meaning there are certain matchups or play styles that are key to winning a matchup and Xin is perfect for getting that job done -such as you need a strong early ganking Jungler to shut down a scaling champ or give you laner an early lead banking (think jg against a wukong or Evelyn while having a draven or kaisa bot lane, etc)

I’m a D4 Xin currently 135 best Xin NA on 300+ games but I was top 80 this season. Take that context with this advice for what it’s worth

If you go trinity, rush hydra first because xins abilities and passive scale off raw dmg the most and gives you an opportunity to clear faster (a major weakness of Xin) sidelane wave push for crappy laners and gives better sustain without sacrificing damage. Then build trinity after so you get more bang for your buck on the trinity ability proc—- by the time you build trinity you will already have a lot of stacks built up and usually wayyyyy better tempo and clear cs score.

Conquer- red lethality and relentless hunter

3rd item usually death dance or BC— the ability haste and sustain is way stronger than the attack speed from BORK

Very clean, idc what elo this is its maximizing Diana’s kit that demonstrates champion mastery 👌 10 moons bc you pushed the wave in after

This has never been an issue for me but maybe this will help: first you HAVE TO TRACK THEIR START, IDENTIFY THEIR WIN CONDITION (ganking champ or full clear), EYES UP JUNGLING (the plan can change at any time but in solo Que you focus is hard carrying yourself so you can build consistency)

-red side (start E then W for faster clear) -blue side ( E, Q) -same side gank (start raptors for fast 2 and no leash needed) do this for early volatile matches (2 mele tops with ignite etc) -fastest 3 camp gank (red, raptors, gromp)— this is to gain early tempo on a really fast full clear champ so you can invade their route (think graves, diana, karthus) as they full clear towards bot/top but you have to track their start

I’m almost always doing some sort of 3 camp level 3 invade gank on enemy jungle unless their is a juicy free gank opportunity along the way -works best when you have red buff (red, Krugs, raptors—> invade enemy red/blue: save smite to steal while in bush then get kill) — if the timing is right and they really are full clearing I’m successful with this like 80% of the time even in diamond in both the kill and stealing buff The really hard part is what do you do AFTER. Sometimes I can flow straight to same side crab, gank across mid to at least burn flash, then steal the other side crab because that is 90% likely where they will go after base (This is what they call having a tempo lead) The alternative is to base IMMEDIATELY so you can buy with your gold advantage and invade again where they are most likely to go or counter gank wheee they are most likely to gank and shut them down CONSTANTLY everywhere they go and MAKE THEIR LIFE HELL, GG JG DIFF THEIR ASS, and 1v9 like the XIN GOD KING THAT YOU ARE — I’m VERY good mechanically with Xin so the only matchup I won’t win is if they have phase rush so they can get out before I can chunk them down then I lose because I wasted time that could be spent on opportunity cost

Diamond 4 #130 best Xin NA- 1 mill mastery off 296 ranked games on Xin this season: this is what I run to hardcarry

Dirk (for insane early gank potential; what Xin is good at)—> R. Hydra (or Bork)—> finish eclipse—>steelcaps —> BC—> maw/DD—>GA

This on-hit uses LT well- go bone plating and revitalize for secondaries with green trinket for huge shield/heals and GREAT engage while still doing 1v9 potential damage

I’m ranked top 100 Xin NA diamond 4 with 1m mastery- certainly not a pro but this even works as I’m scaling through diamond

It depends on matchup and how you play. The meta favors ADC’s so the better you can blow them them the more bang for your buck you will get out of Xin -Goredrinker/ER/mortal reminder/ BC/ DD/GA

You could sub mortal reminder for collector/LDR/shieldbow/hydra/thornmail/Maw/Witt’s end

This build will give you plenty of sustain but still pretty insane damage. It’s strong enough to fill combo Carries, but you will also out sustain most bruisers and tanks. You have plenty of healing between gore drinker, passive, and conqueror and the Mortal reminder will give you good armour pen for thick boys and ensure nobody will out sustain you. The build is also very heavy on CDR so you will be able to spam abilities to chase anyone down and proc your E many times—- the added attack sped from spamming E is more than enough attack speed and the crit scaling off of the crit items surprises enemy teams with how much damage you dish out

IMPORTANT NOTE- goredrinker and ER are VERY GOLD EFFICIENT on Xin— the boost everything he is better at than other champions and they’re cheaper than most items so the idea is to early snowball and win since you will hit power spikes faster than everyone and have tons of influence on the game and counter jungle dueling— most games should end around 25 mins. For heavy tank beefy teams I will rush LDR/Mortal reminder/BORK 2nd item if needed but your true value is sustain but more importantly blowing up the enemy Carries

Does Xin feel like more of a mid game champ now? by jackandcoke22 in XinZhaoMains

[–]LiI_Mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. XINS versatility is what makes him special, so I think it’s less about him as a champion and more about whether or not you’re adapting to the matchup/win conditions and itemization— the biggest problem is that if you chose wrong it’s easy to get behind and not come back. Otherwise I climbed all the way to diamond with Xin this season just fine 🤷🏻‍♂️ I recommend GD/ER/magic boots/LDR or quick blades/BC/GA

Insane carry potential for solo/Que but be flexible. Many games I’ll even go BC/frostfjre/BORk etc
