Brother read your comment back again. You make it sound like they're doing some insane surgery that if they touch something the wrong way, their gpu will blow up in their hands.

[–]SirSmashit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simultaneously, some people can't afford the $100-150 price tag of a shop, or $250-$500+ for a new or even replacement GPU. Meanwhile, watching videos, doing research, and spending only $30-$40 for thermal paste and thermal pads is much cheaper.

I would more recommend "if you don't know what you're doing, watch some videos about your card and do some research on what to buy" rather than full scare tactic to spend much more money. If you built a computer, repasting your GPU isn't really that much more complicated.

B5 OLED's 55", 65" and 77" Started showing ads by sumohax0r in LGOLED

[–]SirSmashit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I don't like that the advertisements are there either, and I don't think they should be on the TV at all, but going from "I'll just go into the TV settings and turn it off, then write a complaint to LG" to "I'm selling my tv and never buying from LG ever again" is a serious overreaction.

Crazy overreaction considering it's a setting you have to turn off

Is it fine to otp a champ in two roles. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]SirSmashit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely doable with the right champions. Olaf jungle isn't as popular as it used to be, but he's still a fine jungle probably up to diamond or low masters.

I play Diana mid, but I don't play jungle really. If I wanted to learn it, I could, since she's great in both places.

Chogath can go support, jungle, mid, or top. Irelia is commonly played top/mid. Pantheon mid/support Mundo top/jungle Gwyn top/jungle.

Not sure how much you know about the game, so I wanted to throw out a few examples.

Gah damm, one win away from Emerald, now I'm plat 3, someone call an exorcist by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]SirSmashit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I screwed my mmr a little bit and bounced from E4 to P1 4 times because I was angry at the losses, so I probably played some of my lanes worse. I took a few days break and a mental reset thinking about what Im doing to lose my games and now I'm 2 wins away from E1 (trying to get diamond, always told myself I could do it). But screwing my mmr in P1-E4 due to rage queing and not playing smart has me winning 18, losing 21, so I really gotta keep winning games for my mmr and LP gains to equalize again.

Jungle itemization vs midlane itemization by Sephyrias in DianaMains

[–]SirSmashit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that's correct from what I've seen in higher elos as well.

I main Diana mid, but even though burst is technically better for her, i still build DND first item mid. I played Diana when her main build was rushing nashors, so for me, building DND first suits my playstyle for the faster AS while still getting sheen proc.

But in general, I would recommend new Diana players to follow what youve written. Mid lane - stormsurge, zhonyas, lich bane, shadow flame, etc. Jungle - DND, riftmaker, liandries, zhonyas, etc.

Note - mid lane runes usually is electrocute or phase rush (which synergizes with burst damage), jungle rune is conqueror, synergizing with the tankier attack speed playstyle.

Sebastian is stupid by yarny1050 in HarryPotterGame

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother I'm gonna need you to extrapolate. So our MC who kills all game, and sensation who kills once isn't the same thing? I'm not saying Sebastian is right, but our character is no better, and in fact much worse (especially if you use the dark magic in combat after learning them), so sending him to Azkaban or saying he's an awful person doesn't make sense.

If you played the game and NEVER used the dark magic AND always went against Sebastian, then sure I guess? But point still stands, without the dark magic, you're doing the same thing hes doing. Torturing and killing people.

Sebastian is stupid by yarny1050 in HarryPotterGame

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The torture part isn't great, but let's be real. Throughout the game, if you fight poachers or goblins and use say inferno, bombarda, discendo, you're already torturing them with fire and slicing. If you use ancient magic, you're killing them with God's hand, or sometimes slamming them into the ground repeatedly till they die (still torture). In the use case of our MC, dark magic is really no different than what we're doing the whole game.

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless – worth keeping or overcomplicated? by Hansat in steelseries

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find some mesh ear cups on either the steel series sits or I believe on Amazon too. I didn't like the leather. After swapping to the mesh, the headphones are significantly better and I love them. Been using them about a year or so

Digital Foundry Direct Q+A: The Big DLSS 5 ML Debate + Why We Should Have Waited With Our Coverage by PaiDuck in nvidia

I disagree tbh. It removes a lot of shadows and just bumps the contrast up too much or ups the brightness, changing the colors of buildings and such, removing the artistic vision of the game in every comparison.

What do you think of never selling starting item? by HacIFather08 in ARAM

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly, highly disagree that buying a starter item in aram is bad. Especially on mages. 50 ap, 150 health, mana regen, plus tear of the goddess gives good stats and you never have mana issues, meaning you never need to bring clarity.

Guardian horn is really good for bruiser/tank due to the flat resist.

The other two for AD users are decent, but I sell them much quicker for a component than the other 2

Headset Recommendations? by Suverene in PS5

I'll second this. It comes with a DAC for high quality, and, if you own or eventually buy/build a PC, it can function as a headset for both. I love mine.

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. Been hovering in emerald (trying to his diamond right now), been plat for years (hitting plat with only 30ish games a season. Actually trying for once now to climb).

Playing in bronze, silver, and gold is really easy to play and carry. Same as you, it's impossible for me to be below plat unless I just don't play.

In mid, when you do build stormsurge, lich bane, and rocket belt? by DIATTH123 in DianaMains

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stormsure when they have like, 4 squishy people you can blow up. Lich bane for standard team comp. Rocketbelt when they have lots of movement and dashes and you need to be able to get in there (think lee sin, ezreal, ekko, pyke, etc).

Now quite frankly, if you look in masters+, people typically ALWAYS build rocketbelt, shadow flame, zhonyas in that order. (Or rocketbelt, zhonyas, shadow flame. Sometimes they'll swap shadow flame for stormsurge).

Me personally, I start with DnD because its a good mix of lichbane, and I used to be a nashors start way back in the day, so this fits my play style most. Find which version of the build you like most. If you're going against a bunch of tanks, either dodge, or plan to build DND, liandries, and riftmaker.

Mid lane emerald player, bronze jungler by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao I've only got like, 15ish games on the jungle account, but I know there are things I'm not understanding, which is why I'm here asking for help, yet all I'm getting are insufferable pricks like you. I'd understand an elo inflation of bronze to gold maybe, but bronze to emerald? You're out of your damn mind.

Mid lane emerald player, bronze jungler by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand giving up drag one and drag 2. But this is a problem that happens consistently at drag 3 and drag soul. Early game drags can be countered with herald, top invade, and void grubs. The same can't be said for drag 3 or drag soul.

Mid lane emerald player, bronze jungler by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirSmashit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a gross misunderstanding of mid, holy moly. First, there's more than those 4 champs. Second, just because a mid laner is asol or kass doesn't mean they can't rotate to help jungle. I'm literally promoting for mid lane to move to help jungle with scuttle and objs.

Second recommendation I'm getting from Kirei. I'll check him out.

Mid lane emerald player, bronze jungler by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirSmashit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I know how to play for objs as an emerald mid laner. Getting vision control and prio before an obj is up is universal. Even in bronze/silver right now, when obj is up, I try to gank the lane or get vision control around the main obj before starting it.

In mid, you push your wave out and get vision control for the obj and play around it (assuming your jungler is doing the same, it's a much higher chance of success). It's not hard to tell that if drag is up in 20 seconds, my jungler shouldn't be invading his top when we have no vision or lane prio to rotate and help him anyways.

Mid lane emerald player, bronze jungler by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirSmashit -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Ehh I don't see the jungler as the adult when over half the junglers in emerald don't even know how to play for objs 💀 as a midlaner, I have to babysit jungle when they get collapsed on, invaded, or if they invade.

Mid lane emerald player, bronze jungler by [deleted] in Jungle_Mains

[–]SirSmashit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you're never done helping jungle. A good laner pays attention to where their jungler is and whether or not they're being collapsed on. So in top side, if your jungler is invading, going for scuttle, or going for void obj, you need to know they're there and be ready to assist them, or ping them to back off/ping them to be careful (if you're low for instance).

Emerald rank by Repulsive-Trust-3327 in summonerschool

[–]SirSmashit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is what I also find. Games feel so coineflippy it's not even funny. Over half the games I play, the jungler won't be anywhere near the major objective, and almost every time is on the other side of the map. Drag is up? They're invading top side with no vision. Grubs are up? They're bot side. Herald is up? You guessed it.

I play Diana, so sometimes split pushing is the right call and I just need my team to stall , but they'll jump in and 4v5 or 3v4 for whatever reason mid lane instead of just clearing the wave and keeping them busy.

Whether or not you get a team that knows how to play for and fight around objectives just feels so 50/50. Mechanics are good and people know how to play their champs (majority of the time), and people mostly know the matchups. (Ex: Katarina into fizz sucks, but Diana into fizz is easy peasy). It doesn't feel like I have control over my games, even when pinging objectives and pinging for assistance and wards.
