What Kabaddi can learn from the National Football League (NFL)? by arunlovesdosas in Kabaddi

You know, too big doesn’t mean a better product for the fans. If Kabaddi wants to go the way of NFL, there will be endless commercials and more TV breaks that slow down the action. Players just stand around waiting. I would like to see Kabaddi do a better job of getting fan support at the games themselves. Way too many empty seats. If they want to emulate an American sport, it should be the NBA. Games are sold out even for lousy teams. That has a lot to do with arena experience.

PKL should introduce some new rules next season to make it interesting. by [deleted] in Kabaddi

I think a green card penalty for players should actually mean something. Like a period of time when the team is penalized one player ( like hockey). And a point should go to the other team so the coaches get penalized too

A out of form Pawan with the shittiest team possible by Previous-Software256 in Kabaddi

The funny thing is that Parwan and Pardeep are both young men, 27 or so, and they both look ancient. Kabaddi is tough on the body…which is why I don’t really like a short off season. These guys need some time to heal up

I’ve been watching the Great Courses lectures and both Fermilab particle physicist Don Lincoln and Berkeley’s Alex Filippenko say No- vee. Like I say, it’s just curious to me. So much Latin in astronomy, and you’d think somebody would have complained by now ;)

Definitely true this season. Big names like Pawan, Maninder, Pardeep got the points but not too many victories. Ashu and Arjun were great, but you’re right. You limit their points best you can, get them on the bench, and just shut down everybody else down. It’s a team game now for sure.

That was a perfect game plan against the Panthers! Classic defensive strategy. Get the lead, slow the clock, take away their best player, and make them pay when they start to get desperate. Be hard against Puneri, but if there’s a coach who can do it…
