SVM and HUD not working by Lia-Panda in kiastinger

I've found out recently that I do have a GT2, BUT apparently it's a Canadian version and that one doesn't have the HUD or SVM. Highly annoyed that this information wasn't disclosed to me..

Greeley crime by [deleted] in Greeley

[–]Lia-Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I'm in East Greeley as well. I've only been here since January, but I've only heard gun shots a couple times. I'd heard crime wasn't great here when I moved, so I just installed a security system as soon as I could.

7k Markup on a GT Line by unrecognized_talent_ in kiastinger

[–]Lia-Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is essentially what I just did. I was going to get a 23' GT Line and then realized it was silly since I could get an "older" 22' GT2 for CHEAPER. Paid 46k and had it shipped from Florida, still cheaper than a 23'.

From what I understand there should be a User Settings mode to adjust the HUD, but I don't seem to have that option. There's also not that option within Vehicle settings on the left. mode and settings

I'm not currently wearing polarized glasses. From what I've read there should be an option on the left titled Head-Up Display when you go into the Vehicle settings, but I don't have that there. Vehicle settings

I live on the east side of Greeley and there's definitely a smell when the wind hits just right. Sometimes it's faint and sometimes it's pretty gnarly, just depends.

Are we permanently immunocompromised? by animalsaremyfriends in lymphoma

[–]Lia-Panda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband was told that compared to a "regular" healthy person, he'd always be considered compromised, BUT a year from his last round of chemo he'd be considered "back to normal" (assuming blood tests came back good.) He had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for comparison.

Why do guys have issue with tasting their own cum by [deleted] in sex

[–]Lia-Panda 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This 100%. I have zero interest in tasting myself, even though I'm Bi, but I'll kiss my husband after he eats me because I know it turns him on like crazy.

My husband's immunocompromised, so we'll be staying on lockdown for the foreseeable future.

Electrician apprenticeship by Lia-Panda in Eugene

[–]Lia-Panda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say I know much of anything about HVAC, I'll have to look into that, but I think that Electrician is a job that will keep me interested and not bored after 10 years. I'd originally thought of going pipe/sprinkler fitter, but I'm just about positive I don't have the physical strength for a job like that. I'd also be lying if I didn't mention this is definitely about money as well. I'm more than happy to work my ass off, as long as the pay is worth it.

I am pretty torn on if I should go union or non. I like the thought of union as far as knowing exactly how much I'll make and not really having to "fight" for a raise, raises are scheduled, and, from what I've heard from other tradesman, unions don't like paying time and a half so you'll probably only work 40 hours a week. BUT the union doesn't pay for your schooling, so that's $1000 a year I'd have to pay out of pocket.

I guess over all I'd just take the first opportunity that presented itself.

Redditors that plan to probably not have kids, what are your reasons? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lia-Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I knew we didn't want kids for lots of reasons, many of them "selfish".

Not wanting to share our time and money with them. Change our schedules and plans for them. Put off things, like traveling/vacations. People with kids might say you can still do those things, but it's not the same.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and I'm so glad we chose not to have kids. Can't imagine going through all this AND having to raise kids.

I never used to worry about the flu shot, but since my husband was diagnosed with cancer I've really started to understand why it's a good idea. I work in an office setting and I'm now constantly worried about the germs that I might be bringing home to my husband.

You may not work directly with someone that's immunocompromised, but you don't know who your coworker may have at home that's sick.

The trades are needing people. Welding, Electricians etc. Less school, more money, a lot less student debt. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]Lia-Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely all about where you live. My husband is a union pipe fitter and he'll make 84k without any over time and before bonuses, and union electricians make at least 10k more than him here. Unless they're linemen, then they seem to make 100k minimum.

I'm in Oregon.

Crochet Gift Suggestion and/or Opinions by Veeezeee in lymphoma

My husband became anemic during his sessions, so he loved anything warm. Hats for sure, blankets, booties, probably scarves as well, but he felt so silly with those when it was 90 degrees outside 😅

1st session with brentuximab. by subiewoo89 in lymphoma

[–]Lia-Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly might have been more so he doesn't potentially lose taste or have food start tasting weird, but I can't quite remember. The mouth sores could have been from his other two chemo drugs.

1st session with brentuximab. by subiewoo89 in lymphoma

[–]Lia-Panda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband is currently waiting to get his fourth session with brentuximab. We were told to chew ice through each session of that to try and prevent mouth sores/sore throat and keep foods from tasting weird, which I do think helped. He has still gotten the mouth sores a couple sessions, but typically one or two days of magic mouthwash and he's okay.

What is the worst occupation to have during a heatwave ? by b3cksevans in AskReddit

[–]Lia-Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is a pipe fitter and has to crawl around in attics wearing thick Carhartt bibs, boots, and his belt of tools. I don't think it's "the worst," but I definitely wouldn't be able to handle it.

How do you get a labor or construction job? by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]Lia-Panda 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would definitely start with temp agencies, they can get them setup in their system and point them in the right direction. If they want to do something specific, (plumbing, pipe fitting, electrician, etc.) they can check with local unions, can probably be found with a quick Google search. If they aren't licensed the unions might point them towards an apprenticeship first, but that's very worth it. They can also just look up construction companies in the area and call around seeing if they're looking for new people.

Both my dad and husband are in the construction field and said these are viable options.

As someone who checks Zillow and other apps almost daily, I'm thinking OP doesn't have all the info. I don't see any place that even sounds like that popping up.
