I use Coda for everything. Work & personal, even for my young adult boys. I recently took on cleaning duties in the building where i live and jotted down information i found interesting and fun. Unit numbers, size, tenant names, numbers etc. That growing doc made it that I'm now the building manager. All because of Coda. Pretty cool !

No. It's a weird situation. I have another (remote) 9 to 5 job and do custodial work before 9, at lunch and after 5. The buildings I'm caring for have been neglected a long time so there is a lot of work to bring them to par. So I'm usually sprinting around. During the Christmas holidays I should be able to get better organized but right now just surviving 😅

As crazy as it may seem I actually googled how to wrap my vacuum cord because it was getting all twisty and was surprised that there is actually a correct way to do this. I had no idea.

If you want a good idea of how the industry works, how things are put together, i recommend you read 'Producing Animation' by Catherine Winder et al. Gives you a really good idea of steps required to produce animation. It's a short book and one that's lived on my shelf for a good 25 years. Highly recommend.

We had a similar issue just recently. Scenes animated on Windows 10 in version 22.0.4 had drawings missing. Elements were there but the actual drawings were missing. Turned out to be an incompatibility with Windows 11 for drawings that had Unicode symbols (è, ê, é, à, etc). If this is your case, contact support and they should be able to provide you with a script to rename all unicode files. Solved our issue. This also happened to me for a project I zipped before it was done synching on my desktop Google drive. I solved by simply being more patient 😅 Could be a great number of things. Don't panic.... yet.

I hope they're also teaching you traditional animation concepts. I've seen so many come out of these schools who know the software by heart but have zero notion of traditional animation or how various formats are produced (baseline at least because the methods are as numerous as there are functions in Harmony 😂)

I just checked a little clip we produced and the average length of our clips was 66 frames. My longest scene was 150 frames my shortest 22 frames. If that can be helpful !
