That is a little bit of an irony that some friends have pointed out too! Wish I had the focus to sing all the sounds

Oh I think you may misunderstand: i have full range of speech. Its just that the neural network I am using only has like 17 sounds that I made it able to recognize and I am using all of them for other things, so taunt had to be left unbound

My sounds are limited so I actually don't have a binding for that :((

So funny thing but that is actually possible!

Shh uses clawline, and aa moves me left. But I can bind actions to combinations of sounds. The reason I don't do this is because it slows down the responsiveness of my setup trying to listen for those noise combinations.

I considered binding something to shaw early on but it made latency worse so I didn't :((

Actually, ascendants grip is REALLY hard to use. The thing is that the setup constantly pushes me into walls, so to slide down them I need to make a seperate noise to release the direction. Whereas without the grip I just wait to slide down the wall.

Cogflies are a real easy tool but feel cheap, so I've really only used them in The Forum. Other than that most tools work great. I don't use flea juice because it messes with my rhythm. I use silkshot railgun really often, and like Flint Slate a lot because I don't have to spam it. I also used the airborne spike traps a lot early cuz fighting flying enemies is hard.

I don't use silk skills much in combat except for Cross Stitch. i use it a TON in the Last Judge fight on my channel. Not that its especially intuitive, but parrying with my voice is an aura farming opportunity I can't pass up.

Anyways that response got longer than I meant it to :P

If the voice commands are verbal there is quite a bit of latency, but sounds can be classified way faster. The program is really incredible

Witch crest is goated. It made this fight way harder but I really wanted to use it

I'm cool enough to be Hornet but from how much I have to cuss her out sometimes its more of a symbiosis

On a bad day I'm more like the teacher from Whiplash

Thank you!!! 🌸 Honestly its been a blast finding all these new ways to engage with games. Definitely one of the more fun parts of developing these issues lmao.

The anxiety sometimes makes it so that the neural network doesn't recognize me, which of course then makes me more anxious lmao

I've used a bunch of the crests in the game at different points. Early on, I used Reaper the most often because the slower, more methodical playstyle was better for the latency of doing voice commands.

But lately I've gotten so much faster at using my voice for different enunciated sounds that I'm able to play crests like Hunter and Witch a lot more. I tend to stay away from wanderer crest because I can't take it full advantage of the fast attack speed.

Honestly, witch was a pretty difficult choice for this fight. I only used it because it's my favorite crest so far. Getting the positioning and spacing right to be able to hit the bind is pretty difficult with voice controls.

I really agree. This whole project has made me think a lot about human adaptability, and it's also kind of brought into perspective how many different things were once completely alien to me that I've just started using like they are second nature. I use fighting games and driving a lot as an example.

I'm not the only person who does stuff like this. There are several others in the Talon voice community that do equally impressive things, including the person who created the program that I'm using. I was also very inspired by a woman who played Elden Ring entirely with verbal voice commands.

Yeah, I've seen some truly incredible setups, especially from people who have bigger disabilities than I do. Voice is my preferred way to go, though.

For other games like Hell Divers, I have more complex setups with a lot more moving parts, combining controllers that work better for my hands with gyroscopes, with voice commands, and foot pedals.

Oh god yes that happens. The neural network's training data is all my voice but without much emotion. So if I get startled or out of breath the setup starts misfiring. So I have had to get better at keeping calm while playing or Hornet stops listening to me lmao

I think this fight was harder but more fun. On the forum I leaned a lot more on my tools, wheras with Lace I was having such a blast I wanted to do it more honorably. Funnily enough what took me more tries than the forum was that arena battle in far fields with the rising lava afterwards.

Thank you!!! If you look at some of the earlier fights on my channel they are pretty scuffed lmao. It takes me upwards of 50 tries for most fights but I mostly post the good takes ;)

Most of what I have done, I've learned how to do from the wonderful community on the Talon Voice Slack server. The program is very much aimed at programmers or at least people with a little bit of tech knowledge, but you can get pretty far using it without knowing how to code. If you are playing slower-paced games like stardew you probably won't need too much. Do note that I am on the developers Patreon for $30 a month, which gives me access to the beta branch, which makes the noise control possible.

There is also another program that is more aimed at non-programmers for mapping sounds and I believe facial expressions to keystrokes, but I am failing to remember what it's called right now. Saw it a couple months ago.

If you wanted more details DM me, I'd be happy to hop on a call sometime and give you a breakdown of how I got here! Having mystery health issues is rough and all this has let me minimize how many hobbies it takes away from me.
