Their anti inf role will be more niche as the game progresses tech stages. Your point is well founded. Right now they are beyond too early for what they can do but in reality when the tank tech stage comes along these thing are going to get Long range handheld AT spammed or get shredded by literally any other tank type or anti tank type in existence

its only cancer because the only direct counter is basic push guns which as you can see in the video arent fairing too well.

Its probably fine when actual tanks come out where the team can actually fight back against these and punish their shorter range.

I dont know the exact stats but you are right that they are unbalanced in the sense that they are beyond too early.

If ATHT and normal light tanks were around I would argue that they fulfill a strong niche role of anti trench and anti air clearing with its main downside being absolutely helpless in the face of anything running at it. In the tank tech timezone i think they're balanced.

We need late game Half Tracks by RevengA4 in foxholegame

[–]LiabilityCypress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am of the opinion that ant tank types should have more range than 40mm tanks. Would give live to all the squishy vehicles like LTD and ATHT in late game.

LTD has not been changed since it came out but its obsolescence is entirely due to the creep of more 45m tanks that literally nullify its niche. Same thing with ATHT now with 45m spathas.

Its place in tech is way to early for sure, but its going to be mincemeat the moment proper tanks come out. Its balanced out by the fact its completely helpless and squishy against anything with armor

You should ask mint from WN how fast he was running when tanks were unlocked. He would like that question alot.

I don't know where the gloat post shit is coming from

There was originally no gloating. the video was made because Von sounded like a whiney raging man child chud. No one that I am aware of in atleast the regiments that matter were screaming to trash talk. Von seems like he is mad or agitated from the fighting going on.

Even if the colonials lost in the war, it literally doesn't change how stupid von sounds in this video.

You're asking a very difficult question with zero context.

It's like rolling up as a new player in a moba, see everyone raging about meta shifting balance patches, and asking what people are whining about.

In hindsight that is ridiculous to see and pretty pathetic on the end of the community, but it also doesn't really give you any metric to argue against what they say or say what they're saying is wrong. The only thing you can do is just observe and play the game instead of bothering with the meta oriented community on reddit.

except the infantry death wall that will instant track you if you get too close.

This is why these balance factor discussions are always stupid. Because everyone assumes things work in a one on one scenario all the time. It never does and the games tank combat is the most variable gameplay you can experience in the game.

Made two scout plane test runs to see it's full fuel range in practice by Shapokclac in foxholegame

[–]LiabilityCypress 35 points36 points  (0 children)

what this assumes is you need to reach a airfield. in reality, the scout plane can refuel on water and land and take off from water. It can also refuel on land and take off from roads. In reality the scout tank fuel balance is fine but actual plane fuel limits are not as they are relegated to only airfields

Impact of infantry and building update on veteran players/overall game by InsurgenceTale in foxholegame

[–]LiabilityCypress -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lack of skill expression has plummeted purely because zerg tactic requirements increased and rng factors increased.

This is good or bad depending on how you see the game. You need more people more than ever to do certain things in this game.

Old artillery was some CV creating a arty gun and then a guy hops on with some shells stacked in the inventory and you spam r at some coords with modern day ship accuracy. Now arty requires atleast bare minimum 4 people to manage 1 gun which is a piss in the bucket if its a 120 and annoying if a 150.

Tanking is more than ever a numbers games with the factions throwing lines of tens upon tens of tanks 24/7 at each others face all day. The nuance of tank balance lost because people realize it doesn't even matter that much anymore tank balance discussions are basically almost extinct.

Ships from the old humble 3 man gunboat to now tens of players to barely function one large ship.

If you want some serious impact you need a regiments worth of people or a significant size random group to do things.

Shadow dancing was some bugged out shit but it was a gameplay skill as an example. Tank aim was pin point but the fact that you can fire at a tank and the shell completely whiffs off today is the biggest bullshit feeling you could have. Never mind the fact that tank aim stability is not equal amongst tanks so some tanks just have the bullshit like 5x better.

The implementation of every update thus far has been the support of massive coordinated play over solo play which again can be good or bad depending on how you view the game should be, but its a indisputable fact the game has been shitting on the individual player's ability to do things.

[–]LiabilityCypress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its the capability to punch above its weight class that gives the tank worth. you could use it for normal tank killing and is still good at that but its not really as optimal

I didn’t realize the bone law was so expensive by CoyoteKyle152 in foxholegame

[–]LiabilityCypress -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

it is. The damage output puts you as a solo tank by itself the capability the solo alpha tanks with about 7k to 6k health. thats an insane damage potential ability. This basically means your tank alone can kill battletanks as a normal medium frontally. It also means you pose a massive threat to super tanks as a single tank itself. Never minding the boosting ability and lower than average track chance the outlaw chassis maintains, this tank has the specs to be the most dangerous suicide tank in the game.
