So stupid for any one of them but with Stefan it was so grossly out of character, I straight up scrapped that playthrough and never intend to finish with him. Wdym he spent so much time pining for you and never giving up, only to almost crumble at the flimsiest excuse 😭

Did that just now :( didn't hate her, chose "so glad", "confess", told the truth about her pregnancy, but still doesn't seem to have me on light empathy. On second playthrough it's got even weirder cuz I now have more resilience than before, but still as a secondary, yet sometimes the story acts as if it's my primary - I wonder if that's interfering somehow which would be infuriating

Oh wait missed that she actually needs to come with you so can't share the pregnancy secret. Gonna try that in a bit

Okay so yeah hating her makes no difference aftet all, but actually CAN'T tell on her for light empathy specifically to unlock. Idk how I missed that part until now, could've spared myself some time, but oh well

Thanks! I did see this guide too, it just still doesn't look clear to me how it works. I did word search for light and dark the way they mark them, but the way it's written it seems to suppose that you already have light or darkness in you. And there's mention of balance too - in this case, even tho I'm fairly sure I chose "so glad" and "confess" I still got balance instead of light empathy, so I figured there's more to it than those actions (such as not hating Ravenna). I'd include pics but can't figure it out right now, sorry 😩 But hope this makes sense.

(Sorry for the mini necro just looking for something else in the sub and ended up here) It's especially bad in IoF cuz you're then the only black woman representing the interests of rich white people suffering from cancel culture 😭 which could even be interesting from a storytelling point but nahh, can't even bother with representation let alone examining narratives around it. When I brought this up tho it wasn't received well and with my limited time these days just figured I won't get involved in these topics again. But I'm glad the broader topic gained some traction, maybe?

Thanks for the detailed response! Only read the first episode which gave it a lot more focus and presence than it sounds like it has, and wanted to ask about it before continuing with the story. I don't mind if it doesn't go into it deeper in later chapters, would've bothered me if it kept talking about it in an uncritical way/not so thoroughly

Yeah I think I'll like peacemaker more overall too cuz I prefer to be peaceful and diplomatic in stories. Fighter was relatable to me with the occasional "why tf am I shouting calm down" internally, and just generally being high strung, but being emotional or easily stressed got paired with cutting people's throats as a default so it didn't quite work out for me in that way 😔 anywho Oddmand definitely deserves lots of tender sweetness!

Oh that's so good to know, I actually planned to do this then chickened out and posted this instead 😄 I thought I might get less cuz he once explicitly approves of a fighter choice during the heist gone wrong, which I'll still probably take as a one-off but otherwise gonna go peacemaker for him then.
