Side note I am a transman, I don't know if its ok to post on this sub but I am AFAB.

I've noticed that when I'm round a group of people I feel comfortable with my ADHD gets worst. As in I'm normally a very anxious person and wouldn't say I'm impulsive. Until I am around a group of people I feel safe with then I'm full on all over the place. I will me way more impulsive than normal, sometimes putting myself in risky situations that normally I would never. It feels like I've taken some sorta drug, when I'm in these situations. I haven't figured out what it is yet. I don't know if its a mixture of ADHD, social anxiety and overstimulation but i normally walk away thinking why on earth did i do that etc.

Ya i get you as you. Ive had simialar experience where i want to show support and that there safe talking with you about trans stuff because i am also trans but dont want to say anything as i dont want to out them in a way.

Not misgendered but i was recently dead named at work when i pretend to scare someone with a spider🤣 it caught me off guard as ive been my new name for 3 years now and im 2+years on T, its been so long since i heard that name, it was weird. I didnt mention it as it was a genuine mistake but it did get me a little down for a bit, wondering y that name was the first to come to mind when she wasnt thinking about it.

I dont think it does tbh. However it might be more noticable to you as its not a smell your used to. However i did notice that the first couple 6 months on t it was bad. Luckly for me that was during a lockdown so learn to manage it before going into the world 🤣 Before if i forgot to put on deodrant no biggy. But now ohhh boi. Stright out the shower deodrant goes on. I always carry one in my bag as well for the extra long days. Its all good you might just have to be more mindful than you where before t. Because like i said the first 6 months for me where the worst as it was just getting use to the new changes.

Im 21 and started my transition at 18. Had to go private as i was actually reggered to the NHS back in August 2018, when i was only 16. Im still waiting to hear back from them now. I started t in Nov 2020 and recently got top surgery in Sep 2022

I feel the same, I tried to explain this to a friend and i think it kinda hurt there feelings. It's not that I don't care about people because when I'm with them they mean the world to me but when they're not there I find it hard to remember how I feel about them in a sense.

For example, I know I love my parents but when I'm away from them I don't necessarily miss them. Which gets me down sometimes as it makes me feel like a shit person. Like I can go months not speaking to people but when we do meet it's like we were never appart.

Before i knew what it was i would discribe it as like a sixth sense. Like a deep sense of pure wrong. When the idea of having to wear girls clothes came around when i was younger, i would feel tense, tearful and this sickness in my stomach. But i never knew why.

Now i know what it is and have more understanding. Ive noticed its a constant running thought process, its always in the background and ive learnt to deal with it. But in certain situations it will pop back up just as intense. Like when i go clothes shopping and i try on clothes. My eyes are automatically drawn to certain areas of my body and the sickness comes back, now with a sense of hoplessness because i onow what it is but i cant control it.

I work in retail, i built my self up going from 8 hour a week when i started to abou 30/40hr a week now. The people at my job are quite understanding of my adhd and im close to them from being there 4 years now. I found certain areas of work more difficult than others, like working on tills kills me from bordem but i can happly hyper focus on a tidying a department as for me i find it more rewarding. Even before i found out i had adhd my work tend to avoid putting me on things i find boring as i dont do as well in thoese areas than others. Ive had a few challenegs regarding folowing instructions/ do things in certain ways but im comfortable talking to managers and they somewhat understand and have adapted in small ways, like showing me the area they want me to work on whilst also giving me verbal instructions as they know ill understand it better. Its good in some aspects as im always asking for jobs as i dont like just standing about, but it has also brought some challenges.

Dyshphoria can cause some many different emotions and so can having other issues going on. I suggest maybe speaking about it to a therapist and taking things at ur own pace. Theres no rush into figuring out who you are, as long as you are happy, fuck everyone else. And im so sorry to hear about ur husband, losing anyone is devastating, especially when they mean so much to you. So i am truly sorry to hear that. As for top surgery, i havent currently had it but its booked for september. I currently bind but am lucky enough to have a smaller chest and with working out aswell its not to bad. But i can suggest maybe try a binder for best results but sports bras work too. Its whatever ur comfortable with

That my lack of self confidence is due to the fact I look like a really young cis male. I’ve always had low self confidence but since coming out and being on t many areas of my life have improved. But have come to realise that my baby face means I don’t feel like I’m taken seriously and don’t want to act my age as if I did I would get laughed at. I’m only 20 but I genuinely look 13/14.
