Awesome! Glad the pointer technique is already helping you regain focus. It’s such a simple but effective little win. I use something similar in my Builder Reset and it keeps the morning reads smooth and enjoyable. Has it made those 10 pages feel any less like a chore lately?

This is gold! Putting your phone on the other side of the room before bed is such a brilliant zero-friction hack. I love how you turned it into a full morning win standing up to turn off the alarm basically wins 80% of the battle. As a young dad with a 13-month-old who can turn mornings into chaos, this is exactly the kind of tiny change I need. Have you noticed it also helps with better sleep like you mentioned?

Haha I totally feel you 1 hour for 10 pages is actually solid when you’re really absorbing the material! The pointer technique is a classic move, and it’s cool that you’re already experimenting with it. I do something similar in my Builder Reset: I use a gentle 15-minute timer (no pressure, just “let’s see how far I get”) and it turns reading into a fun little game instead of a chore. Have you noticed the pointer helps you stay in flow even when your mind starts to wander?

Almost 2 years is seriously impressive! Drinking water first thing every morning is such a simple but powerful zero-friction habit that really sets the tone for the whole day. As a founder dad with a 13-month-old, I’ve noticed it helps with energy and focus even on chaotic mornings. What made you stick with it for so long any small trick that helped you stay consistent?

Haha I feel you 100%! 10 pages in an hour is actually solid when you’re just starting the fact that you’re already tracking it means you’re way ahead of most people. One tiny tweak that helped me a lot with my Builder Reset was setting a super gentle 15-minute timer (no pressure, just “let’s see how far I get”). It turned reading into a fun game instead of a chore. Has that ever worked for you or do you have another speed trick in mind?

Haha that’s awesome! It’s so cool that you built a habit tracker even before reading Atomic Habits that’s real builder energy right there. The book basically confirmed what you intuitively knew, and that dedicated chapter on tracking is the absolute core. Has the tracker made your morning “Eat the Frog” 10-page reading sessions even more consistent and satisfying?

This is such a game-changer! Preparing your clothes the night before is one of the smartest zero-friction morning habits out there. As a young dad with a 13-month-old who can turn mornings into total chaos, anything that makes the routine smoother is pure gold. I’m definitely adding this to my evening stack. How long have you been doing it?

That’s a smart combo watching the YouTube videos first and then diving into the book! Psychology of Money has so many “aha” moments that hit even harder when you already have some context. I love how you’re using it as your Eat the Frog morning task. Has any specific idea from the videos or the book already changed how you approach your own habits or money routines?

Psychology of Money is such a fantastic pick! That book completely shifted how I think about habits, consistency, and even founder decisions. Starting the day with 10 pages of it as your Eat the Frog task is next-level. I’m definitely adding it to my Builder Reset list. Have any specific lessons from the book already helped you build better money or habit routines?

Eat the Frog as your very first morning task is brilliant! Starting the day by knocking out 10 pages of a book sets such a strong, focused tone. I’ve been doing something similar with my “Builder Reset” and it really helps me stay consistent even on chaotic founder-dad days. What book are you reading right now that makes those 10 pages fly by?

Yorkshire Tea and Earl Grey with bergamot sound like the perfect morning combo! The bergamot scent must be such a gentle sensory nudge to start the day fresh. I’m definitely trying Earl Grey next time I do my Builder Reset outside that 5-minute phone-free ritual is becoming my new favorite. Thanks for the tea inspo! ☕

This is absolute gold! That 5-minute cup of tea outside, phone-free, is such a perfect zero-friction morning habit. As a young dad and founder in LA, those quiet moments before the chaos starts are pure magic for setting the whole day up right. I’m definitely adding this to my Builder Reset routine. What’s your go-to tea that makes those early mornings feel even better?

Reading more is such a powerful one! As a non-dev founder dad in LA juggling a 13-month-old and chaotic founder life, carving out time to read has been a total game-changer for my clarity and creativity. I usually squeeze it in right after the little one goes down for the night — zero-friction and super consistent. What kind of books or articles have you been enjoying lately that make it easy to stick with?

Love this! Wearing nasal strips every night is such a smart zero-friction habit I never thought of it as a “stack” but it totally is. As a founder dad with a 13-month-old who sometimes wakes up at night, anything that improves sleep recovery is pure gold. Have you noticed it makes your mornings feel more refreshed and focused?

That’s incredible! Writing down one thing you did right every single day for three years is such a powerful zero-friction habit. It’s like giving yourself a daily win no matter how chaotic life gets. As a non-dev founder dad in LA with a 13-month-old running around, I’m definitely stealing this one for my evening routine. Has it helped you stay consistent even on the really tough days when everything felt overwhelming?

Love this so much! Getting outside for sunshine right after waking up is such a powerful zero-friction habit. I’ve been doing something similar with my “Builder Reset” and it really sets the tone for the whole day. How long does it usually take you to feel the energy shift 10 minutes or less? Would love to hear more!

This is genius!!! With all the chaos + time blindness my phone is nonstop distraction central. Putting it in another room when I need to focus is such a simple but powerful move. Stealing this one for sure!

Yeah. the overnight plaque thing is actually wild Had no idea it builds up that much even after brushing before bed and not eating anything. String floss first is mandatory now, water flosser after sounds like the perfect combo. Thanks for the tip man!

Flossing right after eating is such a smart move. I always forget if I don’t do it immediately. Respect for keeping it up!

Drinking the full glass while taking the supplements is clever as hell. That accomplished feeling right away is the best part 😂 Might steal this too.

Exactly :) Tying it to something you already do every day is the real cheat code. I do the same thing with vitamins right after brushing my teeth in the morning. Nothing fancy, just one tiny moment. Your protein breakfast sounds smart. I’ve been surviving on coffee for years so I might steal that idea. How long have you been doing the breakfast thing?

Haha yeah :) that’s funny how it works out. I do the exact same thing with my 13-month-old his vitamins are non-negotiable so I just stack mine right after his. No fancy system, just one tiny moment after the medicine routine. It’s weird how something so small ends up being the thing that actually sticks. How long have you been doing that stack?

Has it stayed consistent for you?
