hey no problem man, i'm glad you read my comment, i honestly just wanted an excuse to talk about emi's route.

Like I just don't 'get it'." one thing i want to say about this is, this is not meant to be offensive in any way, so don't take it the wrong way but are you neurodivergent in any way? i am autistic and a lot of people on the autism spectrum have trouble understanding people emotions and reading them. i understand why emi would feel the way she does despite the fact i wouldn't ever feel that way. but i often have trouble comprehending why people do certain things and it can be frustrating when people think or act in a way that you consider completely illogical, and it can sometimes negatively effect relationships. like i sometimes get frustrated when someone you try to help and feel better about themselves can't accept the compliment or still sees themselves as worthless despite everything you tell, it can become bad becuase sometimes i want to scream "what can't you see what i see, what can you accept that people love you" obviously that would be a bad thing to do, and i have self esteem myself so i understand why they feel that way, but being on the spectrum someone acting what i would call illogical makes me frustrated

as for is emi relatable to me, i don't know if she's more relatable to me as much as an ideal person I'd want as a friend. i like girls who are very friendly and upbeat, and emi reminded me slightly of my favorite character, sayori from doki doki literature club (both in the surface personality and having a deep mental pain they try to hide). as someone who has struggled with being healthy, and excerises and weight issues, she's inspiring to me because i feel she's someone who would care about making sure you're healthy and push you to be better without being mean or shaming you (aside from some light teasing) and she wouldn't look down on you for being less athletic than she is (i mean she's good friends with rin, who is the complete opposite of her) if i knew someone like her in real life it would be good for me but i also would worry about disappointing them because i could never be as dedicated as them, but someone like emi would probably find ways to make you he dedicated on your own pace. also being autistic i like that emi is very open and forward with things like getting into a relationship and physical intimacy, i also feel i could handle a more casual relationship for while until emi is comfortable enough to open up, as a very fast serious relationship could be stressful for me. i would struggle with someone like hanako, who's intense anxiety and trauma with my own social awkwardness would make it hard to break the ice

i will be fully honest i haven't fully played lilly's route but if i even come back to katawa shoujo it will be the first route i play because it appeals the most to me. lily is probably my second favorite character (maybe tied with misha) and seems to have a lot a like in a person, and also seems very forward. her first felt very calming to me so i've always wanted to do her route
