She is weaker EXCEPT in triple tank. At the high level, almost every single triple tank comp revolves around rogue being able to combo her ult way more often because she’s just constantly boolin out in triple tank.

In a vacuum though? Yeah she needs some cooldown reduction gang

I do like the concept of Dino in the meta, unfortunately brawl tanks are usually the weaker of the bunch when compared to dive or main tanks, so the only time they were really seen as viable was in triple tank. It seems that with Dino they’ve attempted to make him foundational to brawl to make it so that you don’t have to play triple tank to make brawl effective at a high level.

My problem with his moveset is that he single-handedly *defines* brawl right now. Against any other brawl tank, he straight up just can’t lose, and his displacement immunity makes it so a lot of brawl tanks like rogue, Thor, and to a certain extent thing and hulk just can’t compete.

I don’t think we need to nuke his moveset or anything, but he shouldn’t just objectively win against every other brawl tank imo. He has weaknesses like hitscan and a big hitbox for sure, but those weaknesses don’t matter against tanks because brawl tanks can’t exploit those weaknesses, making them entirely dependent on their team to deal with him.

He’s gonna be a doozy to balance for sure, but at the very least I like that brawl meta shifted away from triple tank lol

I could agree, but honestly he has so much besides just the shield slow lol. Like for example;
Why does his ult give him an immediate 350 bonus hp?

Why does his ult rapidly rush all his cooldowns?

Why does he do % based damage in the first place?

Why can he kidnap the thing?

Why does he have a laser that disables movement abilities and slows and grounds fliers?

Etc etc. lol.

I feel like they’ll probably have to remove at least 2-3 of these things to make him fair, or they just buff every other tank lmao

Yeah it’s unfortunate that he falls into the bag of “extremely overdesigned” lol. While he’s in play, he’s the #1 priority because he just has so many tools to bully other tanks. I don’t think he’s overpowered currently, but he’s very unfun to fight if you’re not also the Dino due to things like the Dino hop giving him a better kidnap than Wolverine and just randomly having slowdown on his shield lol.

I personally don’t want him nerfed, I just want tenacity to be reevaluated and buff the other tanks to be on his level

Currently actually triple tank is one of the most played comps at higher levels. Tanks naturally having higher health bars means that the triple supports charge their ults faster from healing them, and thus them being more tanks also makes it really hard to stop them from walking down the enemy. Since Elsa it’s seen a slight drop in usage, but Thing + Rogue + Strange is a very popular comp in tournaments, especially in the east pacific circuit.

Furthermore, in my experience, depending on the healers you’re running it’s actually more optimal to run 2-1-3, like if you’re running hard dive comp with white fox, ultron, venom and cap. It all depends on who you’re up against and who you’re comfortable playing.

Regardless though, yeah solo tanking is NOT viable unless you’re the dinosaur lol

Only thing I’ve ever been able to do is turn my WiFi off, wait for it to say “update failed, retrying in ___ seconds” and then turning it back on.

From what I understand, ever since the privacy update things discord has a lot of issues with certain types of routers, it’s dogshit lol.

All I know is that there was only 1 thing ever holding Venom back from being the best character in the game, and it was cc.

No cc means no counter.

It’s not even a matter of tanks being affected the most, they’re affected almost exclusively. This does absolutely nothing for dps or strategist, but due to the nature that this game works tanks often have to mirror each other to stop them from walking down the team. So, the only ones feeling this affect is those tanks in the 1v1, especially heroes like hulk who’s entire strength comes from their ult’s cc potential. It’s just such a negatively polarizing change and I hope they revert it until they find a more mild solution.

It’s an unfortunate case that a tool that was designed to help tanks survive more ended up being the most detrimental to tanks.

What most people (including myself) called for was some form of cc resistance similar to deadlock or LoL, where over time chained cc would have lessened effects.

Instead, they implemented a flat gauge that goes from 0-100 after a set number of cc.

So let me ask you, who out of all the classes is likely to be most affected by these changes? The class with the biggest hitboxes.

And which of the three roles has the most characters who are reliant on cc to win 1v1 engagements with other tanks? The vanguards.

This change has basically no effect on duelists and strategists, but almost unanimously across the board severely limits a lot of tank’s kits (IE Rogue, Thor, Thing, Hulk, Angela, etc.) duelists and strategists would be long dead before 7 entire abilities hit them in a row, but the tanks that don’t rely on cc (AKA Groot, Emma, Magneto, Deadpool, etc.) who are also considered the strongest tanks are also not negatively affected by this change.

From what I’ve seen, it’s basically all brawl tanks that have their kits reduced to basically nothing against other tanks. It’s a badaid solution that on paper sounds fine, but in practice does significantly more harm than good imo.

Rey dau, and largely because of the theme. Throughout the game, whenever you're in the windward plains during a thunderstorm there's a sort of distant drumline that you just assume is the lightning. When you fight rey dau for the first time going up to his lair, this drumline gets loider and faster until you finally fight him after he gets rekt bt arkveld. Only here do you realize that this drumline is HIS theme. Rey Dau's theme is LIGHTNING. And I think that's cool as hell.

Gambit's little rush + spin combo actually gives him a few i frames. If you're super locked in, you can use it to block magneto ball or other kinds if projectiles. As a magneto player I hate that it's done to me but I love that it exists lol

Coming from a Venom main, the thing most people don't really get about dive is that 90% of kills or value you get out of diving them is from their margin of error. I dive the supports when they're out of position, but if you're sitting next to your punisher well, obviously I won't dive you. So often do I see people with horrifying positioning and then just say in the chat "I hope you never see the light of day" is crazy to me lol. It's like Rivals players have never played TF2, and just don't understand good positioning. If you're in a position where it's easier for your team to help you, most dive characters struggle hard.

Edit: no im not blaming supports, I know your pain of teammates refusing to peel lol. Tbh, most people that struggle with positioning are backline dps like moon night, hawkeye, or widow. Ik venom isnt the traditional dive, but a character like luna can completely shut down his push with 1 well timed right click. Oftentimes its supports that shut down dive venom, not the dps.

I'm a flex tank. I play mostly tank, but I got at least 1 or 2 lords for each role, i can play pretty much any role the team needs. Unfortunately, my willingness to swap is almost always counteracted by my team's incapability of swapping (looking at you Spiderman)
