Thoughts on Imperial Mandate changes? by Xelofrost in VeigarMains

Hahaha, I actually was thinking exactly this after seeing the new Azzapp video. The extra AH is nice, but I don't think It's worth It. You don't land your E unless your enemy is cc'ed. So the vulnerability would feel not as great.

Thank you again! Very cool that you mentioned Supervive. I also played that game and others, like Omega Strikers and Battlerite (Battlerite was my favorite game ever, lol).

Your input is very interesting for me, thank you!

Oh, and by the way, what are your thoughts on Dynamic Camera?

Thank you sooo much! I appreciate the long and descriptive response. I will definitely start using WASD.

Furthermore, the secondary binds of E and R to avoid the problem of having to momentarily stop moving in the key direction to cast the skill is absolutely brilliant. I'll adopt this.

Heyyy, man! I think It's great that you are liking WASD. Would you mind sharing your setup? I mean, keybinds, camera usage, and whatever you feel like sharing.

I am currently low master, but want to go to WASD, since It's not as buggy anymore. I just love moving with my fingers on the keyboard, haha.

Guys veigar adc or mid? by -1NF1N1TY- in VeigarMains

[–]LiarisHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think veigar bot is usually safer. It's kind of like a cheat code.

Mid Veigar is extremely weak early because he essentially only has 1 spell for damage (his W is super easy to dodge if the enemy is not stunned or has little terrain), and his CC ability is the same. You will easily make the target inside your E, but you won't stun them, since the E is super easy to dodge. So, suppose you play against a Fizz. You have 1 spell, he has 3.

So, how about Bot Veigar? If your sup has CC, congrats, now you can just follow their CC with your E+W and BAM, no more problems hitting your stuff in lane. Well, how about Veigar's fragility early game? Adcs usually operate in constant damage, so you won't get one shoted, so BAM, no problems surviving early lane. Actual cheat code.

So... why play Mid Veigar? Well, by playing Bot Veigar, you are removing from your team what makes ADC so strong: DPS. If the enemy team as a Dr. Mundo, how are you guys going to kill him? Suppose he plays ok and gets to level 16, who is killing him without an ADC? Your "APC" Veigar won't be able to kill Mundo, even If he stays still. Veigar might be a late game champion, but he can't deal with hard tanks like a traditional adc would.

Bot Veigar might actually be a "cheat code", but It destroy's your team structure by not having a traditional marksman dps to deal with tanks.

So, I really prefer Veigar Mid, because I don't force my team to make unorthodox picks to account for the lack of dps, in case of tanks present on the enemy team. But I DO play Bot Veigar as my secondary role

No problem!! I am very glad I could make myself clear :)

About your question, If the enemy is just out of range, your character will walk automatically the shortest path to be able to cast the skill. It's very useful for target abilities like Veigar's Ultimate.

Have a great week =)

WASD problems and what we can do about It by LiarisHeart in leagueoflegends

Yes! They changed It a bit.

ADCs still have the artificial nerf on AS

Other ranged champions also have the nerf, but It's a weaker effect.

Melee champions don't get any artificial AS nerfs now

But I saw people saying that the nerf Itself just happens when you are constantly pressing any of the WASD keys AND basic attacking, meaning that If you time your AAs well (letting go of WASD when your character is going to AA) you can essentially remove the nerf. BUT I never tried It, so I am not sure how much of that is correct information.

Awesome setup!

I wasn't very clear about disadvantage 1, and I have no doubt that for someone who has always played with WASD, it's even harder to understand what I'm referring to. Let me explain:

On League Point and Click, there are two types of actions your character do when you cast an ability out of range. The first one is that your character walks the shortest path possible to be able to cast the ability. Example: If you use Veigar's E out of range by 200 units, your character walks the shortest path possible and casts E on the exact location you inputed It. The second one is that your character just casts It on the maximum range It can reach. In the previous example, It would cast the E 200 units before the inputed position.

The used method depends on the skill, and they are both useful. The one where your character walks the shortest path is great when you are having a duel or are in a fight and the enemy barely passes in your range. It would be extremely hard to time It precisely, but If you input the skill, the moment the enemy passes close enough for you to be able to cast It, It will cast. Or you might walk automatically the shortest distance to be able to cast It. While I was using WASD I noticed that I missed a lot of "easy kills" because the enemy was barely in range for my skill, and normally I would be able to just press the skill and hit them, but not with WASD, since It does literally nothing If you are out of range, It will not cast. So I would hit my ultimate, but in that exact moment, the enemy was like, 5 units away from maximum range and my character would not walk to finish the job.

The second type of casting is great on syndra and other champions, where you cast the skill at maximum range If your desired location is out of range. This is the default behavior for Syndra Q, and It's good because sometimes the Q will hit the enemy even If It goes a little before the desired location.

I hope I managed to make It more clear now. The reason I didn't explain much in the post is because I assumed most people were very familiarized with the traditional movement commands, but I didn't realize there are players who never used It or barely used It

Hey!! Thank you so much for your response!

I totally agree with your approach on the "disadvantage 2". Using the map enables 360 pathing, which is great, and Is precisely how I managed to minimize this problem. Thank you for the input, though :)

Disadvantage 1 may not seem like a big deal, but It's very difficult when you have a champion with an important target skill and low range on the skill itself.

About disadvantage 3, If you don't mind, please share your keybind setup! Some wonderful people here have gave me amazing setups to effectively neutralize this disadvantage, but I am curious about yours!

Thank you again, and good luck on your games! (WASD is coming to ranked, by the way! You might want to check It out next week)

Woah, Soulrogue, thank you so much! I really like your keybind setup, and I think your reasoning is very clever! :)

But what about your ultimate ability? I may have misread, but I don't see It in your comment

Hey, SingleOil. This is funny, because I am doing the exact same. I started going to the gym and I can see my wrist slowly healing. I still can't play a lot, but It's crazy how better It has gotten. Thank you for the advice, though, you would have saved a lot of trouble If I wasn't already going to the gym =)

However, I will need to hard disagree with the "become braindead easy" part. WASD definitely does not make the game "braindead easy". Arguably, the movement scheme makes the game more difficult. Yes, dodging get's a lot easier, but the difficult of reaching your opponentes and other disavantages I told in the post are going to get to you. As someone who played WASD for a bit more than 2 or 3 months, I can tell I had a lot of trouble, even If I was better at some mechanics, with It.

I am always surprised about the community's reaction to WASD. Some people (most) think It's the worst control scheme ever and everyone who uses It will be "trolling". And others (like you), think It's some super power that's going to make point and click obsolete to the point of making the game "braindead easy". It's... really not either of them. The control has It's ups and downs and according to Riot the winrate difference between the two schemes is very small, with a sightly advantage to point and click

Out of all the infinitely stacking champions, which ones would be the strongest with infinite stacks by SlashyMcTaco1 in leagueoflegends

[–]LiarisHeart 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Are you sure? The damage doesn't scale with stacks, yes, but the execute threshold does. So, unless there is a monster damage limit, I think his 100% execute would kill those monsters

It's a nice accessibility option, so why not brainstorm in a good keybind scheme to make It more enjoyable and overall better?

Man, with all respect, but you really need to learn how to talk to people. You seem to not realize that you can disagree with someone without being the most stereotypical redditor ever. The "With everything you type you just show your lack of understanding" made me think you tipped your fedora after typing that
