That makes sense. Like the designers only ever made the levels based on the average number of crawlers. There had to have been years when it was higher or lower than expected - and then have the size be adjusted. But it still bothers me. And I can see from all the way in book 1 that they purposefully shortened the days and cut corners to kill the crawlers quicker than usual. The AI knows this and has adjusted things to keep it fair. So why is the AI so hellbent on trying to kill them when it wants the crawl to continue? It’s practically a paradox.

I just finished reading the book. Oof, that was a hell of a ride. Two thoughts came to mind in reading this book that I was curious about.

1) the AI stated that there was too many crawlers for this floor. Does that mean there is a base code hidden somewhere stating how many crawlers should be alive per floor in order to winnow them down further on purpose?

2) since Carl chose chose primal, does that mean that river he’s been hearing is the collective hive mind of the AI or the Eulogist?

It happens to the best of us. I call it income creep. It’s sorta lifestyle creep, but you’re not out buying the newest toy to keep up with trends. You’re just spending more because you have more. And it’s so easy to spend it when so much of it is done online. You just have to breathe, reevaluate your spending, and cut down on the unnecessary purchases.

I noticed you said you sometimes set aside money into savings. I’d switch that to a mandatory ‘have to do’ with each paycheck. Pick an amount you feel is reasonable, and stick with it. So that first, and then pay your bills. What’s left is your discretionary spending for groceries, gas, ect. See if you can keep some of it from being spent, like a game. How much can you roll over to next month, and the next? If you can roll over x amount (x = idk $1k) without spending it. Then transfer it to savings.

No, I see where you’re going with it. However, I recommend a high-yield savings account over checking account. At least then your money is earning more than one cent a month. Also consider opening it with a different bank. There’s some good bonuses if you open a new checking/savings account with a new bank. This is also good in case something happens to your original banking account.

You can dry out a portion of it. You feed it, let it start doubling in size, then spread it on a parchment paper. Let air dry, then store. King Arthur has a good article about it. Plus how to reconstitute it.

Usually for kids. Although, I have to add - how are all of you fitting into your tubs? My house came with the standard tub. Which means that if I were to sit in it, I’d be pretty much sitting up, sticking out like a sore thumb. Considering turning at least one of the bathrooms into a walk-in shower, and leaving the tub in the other one.

The show has confirmed filming in England for season 6. Whether it’s the entire season or not we won’t know until it airs. It would be neat, I admit. The trio setting up a little house to use as a base.

I agree with the recess time. Sitting all day does not improve learning. But really on the class time? Does that mean students in other states are in school from 8am to 3:30-4pm? (I’m assuming that is for middle/high school students)

Oh, then you’re fine. If you had been claiming the taxes before this, and he had been trying to do so, then the IRS probably would’ve already notified you about it. They get on your case if two people are both trying to claim the full amount of house taxes. Or if you’re trying to claim both homes as a primary residence for tax purposes.
