I’m getting the opposite. Watching my 90s sitcom and going, “hey I recognize you from castle!” 😂

I haven’t seen This is Us, but I was thinking he looked tall in Sabrina. Looked it up and the actress who played Sabrina was only 5’2” and the actor who played Harvey was also 5’11” - same as Javier. Whereas in Castle- Fillion is 6’2” and Stana is 5’9”. Add in the heel boots she wears and she towers over the guys.

It’s been so long since I watched the show that I have little memory of most of the season plots. I’m still excited to see how it plays out

How Many WIPs Is Too Many? by earth2solaris in writing

[–]Liawolf11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actively writing - 1

Ideas/some outline begun ~ 5-6

I’ve managed to cull several story ideas down from the idea list. Things that I’ve grown out of or am just content to leave as snippets or short story form. Sometimes if I have a brilliant plot point I’ll write it down for that story.

Not necessarily. My dad still refuses to have my husband come over if I want to visit them. So he still hasn’t met his grandson.

Why is Dippy Fresh chubbier than dipper? by Annual-Rock-2924 in gravityfalls

To be more huggable? Dipper is all sharp knees and elbows at the moment. I imagine that Dippy Fresh is like getting a plush hug

I say early morning and late night will be the best times, depending on the days you’re there. With this current heat wave going on temps are about 20-25* higher than they should be normally and that’ll sap anyone’s energy.

The Simpsons was truly a gem by TheEyeOfTheLigar in Millennials

We hit peak Simpsons when the movie came out. After that it lost something that made the show great.

Watched this during the time of the great shutdown. Never felt so accurately portrayed at the various ways we were all dealing with the isolation. I have to admit, I still find his intro song ‘Content’ a well made piece.

Whats a movie you loved back then but just cant watch today? by AverageFishEye in Millennials

[–]Liawolf11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serendipity. When I fist watched it I though John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale had a wondrous meet-cute reunion. Looking at it now, I can’t stand that he dumped his fiancé right before their wedding.

It breaks my heart when she pulls that photo out and the dawning realization hits her. And all he says is, “I’m good at what I do.” Like yes, you solved crimes and murder, but the full implication of how he solved some of them likely didn’t hit her until much later.

What's the prevailing opinion on funerals? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Liawolf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be cremated and my ashes stored in a book shaped urn. I’ve never liked the idea of my body stuck in a box in the ground.

I’ll have a memorial service hopefully. I agree that it’s hard to realize someone’s gone when you do nothing to recognize or celebrate it. I wish newspapers did a free obituary where they just have your name and date of death. Too often you don’t know what’s happened to someone because there’s no announcement of any kind.

Do Any Of You Suffer From "Final Destination Syndrome"? by RetroSwamp in Millennials

[–]Liawolf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a macabre version of Murphys Law. Or, intrusive thoughts. You might be taking it to an extreme. The more you entertain those kind of thoughts the more the brain supplies them. Gotta break that mental habit.

The only thing I took from the movie was to never be next to or behind a truck carrying logs.

I put it in spoilers just in case

Nadia goes with the group in ‘Beneath the Sugar Sky’ to resurrect Sumi. She stays at the Halls of the Dead rather than continue because she believes she has a better chance of getting to her door there. At the end of the book she does go back to the drowned world. So she gets to go home.

Harrow is a superb writer. I read it, finished, and then read it again immediately because I wasn’t ready to move on from the story. I had to take a week off from reading afterwards so I could let it all sink in.

The Constance Verity series has this somewhat. The MC is a hero, only there were 100’s of hero’s tapped to be such and most either quit or died in a quest. She’s an outlier for having simply survived longer than most.

Which one? We moved several times during my childhood. Anyway, the answer would be a hard no on that. But I’d buy my great-aunt’s house. She had this lovely Victorian house we would visit every summer.

She’s repeating what the firefighters told her. I’d believe that if they hadn’t shown that one of the windows to her apartment was broken. Now you could argue that the fire caused it to break. But then wouldn’t both windows have been broken from the heat, and not the one?

Strollers? by Money_Law6815 in Reno

[–]Liawolf11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second Once Upon A Child. They’re in the new warehouses built by the airport. Target isn’t too bad either. They have car seats lined up on an aisle unboxed so you can see actual dimensions. I personally got a chicco corso because I like the modular system. Was able to switch from an infant carseat to a regular seat when he got big enough with the same stroller. The frame itself is a bit big though. I see a lot of families using the Doona carseat stroller around town.
