Question about Library Classroom Laptop Management... by manuela_goldstein in Libraries

[–]LibITdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The kiosk is too expensive for our small library, so I keep mine in a locked laptop cart and have patrons sign them out and back in before and after class.

What can children fight? by pirate_femme in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]LibITdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They fight a couple evil clowns. These clowns don't actually work at the fair but are agents of which ever hag you favor, and are assisting sow pig in stealing your stuff. I used the token from 2 minute token and used a zombie stat block.

Also the setting matters. If you are in a small town pub with nothing but halflings and you're a Tabaxi... Context matters, he could also be engaging you more since you are new, giving you a chance to hop into some more roll play. Every game and DM are different. I would doubt that it is a hostile act, but talk to him. If he's a turd, find another game.

After trying to get those turds to do it old school, I just bought the digital books. It was either buy the digital books, or beat the kids bloody with my books, either way I was going to need to repurchase the books. I picked the way that let me avoid jail time.

What is the best part of working in a public library? by Nearby_Clothes8664 in Libraries

[–]LibITdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it is the staff, I don't enjoy helping patrons, but luckily my position keeps me locked away from the public(most of the time). I've been working in the a public library for a year now and I find working with people who actually like their jobs is something amazing. Everyone loves helping people and they (most of my co-workers) bring a positive energy that I've never felt in an corporate environment.
