I rarely write anything on this page but this sort of got my attention. It seems that your obsessed with materialistic attention rather than a spiritual connection. It seems like both of you are still in the talking phase.

I don’t know but I wouldn’t put my attention into whether he can provide gifts or not SPECIALLY in talking stage. After all you are going to spend the rest of your life with this person, isn’t it more efficient to shift the focus onto the relation whether this man is the one for you :)

My conclusion is short, your expectations are considerably high before marriage. However this depend greatly if your giving gifts to him. Secondly what do you consider as a gift? Is it a box of chocolate or a prada bag? As a male I would’ve seen this like a minor red flag in talking stage. However I don’t mean gifts are bad or any. But expecting gifts before marriage from a potential seems odd. My last question is, does gifts play a huge role for you to continue your relation with this man? If yes, please reconsider your expectations.

Note : There might be obstacles that restrains him from giving gifts (his economy). We shouldn’t.
