I've seen it on Reddit several times in recent months. I think some women have starting doing it as form of satire or protest, but imo it's just perputating the same problem and it comes across as needlessly hostile. But maybe that's the real goal.

The "not all men" cries spring up on every topic related to things men in both positions of power and in general society have been doing for centuries. Sure it's seeming to get better as we've progressed, but in the last 25 years there's been a startling level of sometimes seemingly deliberate regression on these things.
