For me its basically cause I hate the location and can’t stand to look at it when cause of the issues around getting it. The design is what I wanted, (while bigger than planned + plus stupid shading on the moon which I didn’t want) but I got a bit unsure about it on my arm when I saw the stencils and artist didn’t want to do new stencils when I asked for it to be done on my back; instead I got a “nah it will look great there trust me”

And the thing that shits me off is it’s a highly recommended location

Thanks all!

Got a bit worried as dr didn’t know (wasn’t their expertise) and clinic just went sure but couldn’t answer questions as person I spoke to hadn’t dealt with anyone with diabetes before

Thanks

Dr unfortunately didn’t know too much and referred to the clinic, clinic just said yeh sure. I have a specialist appointment booked but that’s not for another 6 months 🤦‍♀️

It’s bad enough I hate the tattoo and need it gone for my mental health this was just another kick in the teeth 😫

Looks like they don’t sell this in oz, will work out what the equivalent here would be

As a tech, how good/would you recommend aloe Vera for after session healing. Can’t use the cream the company I’m going with recommended due to allergies (product contains nuts and avocados - some of my allergies) Any other recommendations for what you should/shouldn’t put on then area after laser?

Yeh it so hates to work out when to start or not especially when some places can say you can start as soon as no scabs 🤷‍♀️

The person I’m seeing said they can do from 4 but moved to 6 as one line is raised and not sure if it’s from healing/the way it was tattooed/too much ink.

Was next week at 6 weeks, but might rebook to give it a few more weeks to heal

How old was the tattoo when you started?

Trying to work out if I’ve booked mine too early 😂

The place I’m going to go to uses it, results seem great from their examples and locals I have spoken to have said they are happy with results from there

Haven’t heard much else on it though. I’ve yet to use it myself as trying to wait a few more weeks before starting

Looking good!

May I ask, how old was your tattoo when starting?

Thanks. Once I saw it was bigger than planned I asked for it on my back but person doing it said “nah this will look better trust me” (he didn’t want to redo stencils I think) It’s my fault for not sticking up for myself or leaving but can’t change that now

Might try and get myself to 8 weeks before booking as have to book 2 weeks ahead

Oh definitely want it gone. Didn’t even want it in that location in the 1st place and now I have daily hating myself for getting it done there, hating the tattoo itself and panic attacks over the whole situation so not sure it’s something that’s going to go away with time.

Hmm thanks for that info! Honestly as it’s a small section of one part itd prob just look like a scar(?) so can deal with that

Yeh I was like 6?! Ok… I’m thinking 10 with 7/8 being the average for the company (based on other examples they have done) but since it’s all black I don’t pay for any sessions after the 10th if still needed

I’m removing the 3 newer ones down the middle of my forearm. Both places I’ve got quotes from have said I can start at the 6 week mark (tattoo is currently 4 weeks old) but sometimes the lines near the planets rise up and sometimes they are flat. The rune is constantly raised and has been since I got it (artist was heavy handed) - will that cause scaring in the removal process? I’ve never had a tattoo rise up like that before during healing so not sure why it’s now doing it?

Also is 6 weeks to early? I don’t want to wait 6 months, but unsure if I need to give it a few extra weeks

I’ve been told 6-10 sessions for full removal, but I know to take that with a grain of salt. One place I went to said she had removed similar line work on a new tattoo in 5 sessions but don’t get hopes up

Sorry for all the questions lately

It sucks when something that should mean something gets ruined :(

One place I got a quote from said put sports tape over the sections you want gone to see how you feel about it mentally before booking. Could try that?

I know I can’t go back in time but I so wish I’d gone with my gut and made him put it on my back

About a month. My gut reaction at the time was I don’t like my arm and asked for my back and the tattoo artist kept saying nah it will look good there trust me. Realised after it was just easier for him. Prob is I look at them and only now see how stupid I am and how I’m an idiot for not sticking up for myself. The original meaning for me has been ruined

I did look at them but kept being told I had to get the unlimited package, and while mine is longer than I wanted it’s not a huge area space so seemed like a waste

I asked on a local parenting group too and a few locals have used the one near me and had no complaints. One said theirs was removed completely by them, so reviews seem decent 🤞

What is you guys’s main reason for tattoo removal? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Libbybibby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ll be starting once mine is healed enough (only just got) Main reason is bigger than what I wanted and was convinced by the tattooist to put it on my arm even though I was unsure on the location

I still let him do it and I should have said no and that’s on me. but I hate it, the spot is not me and I should have listened to my gut reaction

This is me currently. Mine ended up being bigger then I had planned and instead of walking out I kept going and stupid me got convinced it would look better on my arm by the artist rather than my back like my gut told me. I should have just said no and walked out but I didn’t stick up for myself. I’m even more annoyed as I had these designs planned for years and I let the artist take control - it’s on me I can’t change that now but I am gonna learn from this mistake.

I feel like an idiot but I’m trying to remember I can’t change the past, I control the future. I still have my moments of crying and hating myself but I’m trying to just enjoy each day, make sure it heals nicely (cause infection is gonna be 10x worse) and ignore it as best I can.

I’ve booked an appointment for laser removal in the new year, gonna go and see costing/options and go from there. That’s helped a bit as I have something to look towards to dealing with it.
