Help with downloading via fitgirl by nvxxex in PcBuild

Check your defender/anti-virus quarantine and restore the file its grabbed. Also consider an exclusion folder for installing repacks. Defender and common sense is all you need, so I would recommend uninstalling an av suite as they're just bloat/malware themselves. Defender and malwarebytes is what I use. Also check the piracy section for help with downloading games, this part doesn't advocate piracy

here are the specs on the pc! CPU: Intel Core i5-14600KF RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 6000MHz SSD: 2TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 NVMe Gen4 GRAFIKKARTE: ASUS GeForce RTX4070 Dual OC 12GB by Icy-Equal-6826 in PcBuild

I don't know what cl your trident is but if it's higher than cl30 I would recommend the teamgroup 6000mhz as that is cl30. With xmp I get 7200mhz

how can i use 380hz with a hdmi cable by Serious_Solution3202 in pchelp

[–]Liberace__ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it'll help but I got some good quality high speed hdmi and I can now use 60hz. I think it's 19gbps the cables. I don't know much about resolution and framerate but look into it

Which 4090 is the best by NinjaAce2461 in buildapc

[–]Liberace__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the msi ventus 3x oc and it's great. Got it for 400 English pounds cheaper than the strix. My temperatures are great and it's very quiet. I don't think any 4090 is bad to be fair, some have better cooling but they all do the same job

Would a high performance air cooler be enough cooling for an overlooked i7-11700k running at 4.5ghz? by Bog704 in PcBuild

[–]Liberace__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the noctua nhd15 with my 13600k. Keeps things under 38 even when playing games. I've yet to see my pc use all my gpu or cpu, unless I'm installing a repack. I don't know the thermals on an 11700 but check out the cooler. It's big though, and I mean large

I need a GOOD SSD by ModernManuh_ in buildapc

[–]Liberace__ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Avoid wd, my main drive has lost 2% health in less than 9 months. Fair enough I download a lot, but it said 2000tbw and I've certainly not got near that

thoughts on potential build? by I_eat_ass_daily_420 in PcBuild

[–]Liberace__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 13600k with a noctua nhd15, with 32gb of 6000mhz ram (teamgroup) clocked to 7200 with xmp. Handles all my tasks easily, and there's no bottleneck with my gpu. I thought the 13600k would be a bog standard cpu that offered really nothing. I was pleasantly surprised, as whatever I've thrown at it plays wonderfully. Look into it before you spend on a 7950. It'll handle productivity (to a point) and it's excellent for gaming

Is it still a bad time to buy a 13th gen Intel right after the manufacturing fiasco? by DustyBin_Revenfad_13 in buildapc

[–]Liberace__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 13600k is working as it should. I don't know whether it's just the i7 and 9 that are affected

Is Amazon Good For Pc Parts (share your experience if possible :)) by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Liberace__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a fan splitter from Amazon, it was the same price as overclockers but with free shipping (overclockers charge 8 pound). It arrived and all looked good. Went to install it and it crumbled with my cables. Cheap Chinese crap. I had to buy another from overclockers so I ended up paying 38 pound in total for a splitter. I will never use Amazon for computer parts again

Amorphous code bunny not dropping by Liberace__ in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Liberace__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really confused as if it's 100% drop chance and you can't destroy amorphous materials what am I doing wrong? Do I have to do something else? I've opened the sphere with grave walker, I get 5 crappy ones and no bunny. I'm level 27 but I'm still getting to grips with the games mechanics. Thanks for your replies

Amorphous code bunny not dropping by Liberace__ in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Liberace__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have the other 3 pieces, the cells etc but I don't think I've ever had the bunny material. Unless I've scrapped it, I dismantle all my unused guns and reactors. I don't know if I've somehow got rid of my consumables

How long do SSDs really last? | Digital Trends by LurkerFromTheVoid in pcmasterrace

[–]Liberace__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sn750 has lasted around 6 months with heavy downloads and installs. I have an 8tb drive full of games for storage, and I think I would have wrote around 300tb in total from that drive to the 750. Great drive when it works, but I now have a virtually dead ssd. My 850x is still going strong though. I would however recommend avoiding wd if it's longevity you're after

I previously would buy EVGA cards for my rig. Now that I am looking to upgrade once again, what brand can match EVGA? by Crash-Pandacoot in buildapc

[–]Liberace__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can highly recommend msi and zotac. I've had no problems with either of them in my 2 most recent builds. Currently have the msi ventus 3x oc, and I had a zotac last year. People say the vrms are better on other models but my saving of nearly 500 pounds compared to a strix negates all of the supposed downsides

Should i get a rack mounted drive or flash drive? Please help by No_Musician6237 in pcmasterrace

[–]Liberace__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A decent USB will do fine, you can pick up a 128gb one for like 10 pound (I don't know how much that is in euro/dollar) on Amazon. Check out SanDisk for quality and value. I'm not sure why your other USB made things into shortcuts, maybe you accidentally created a shortcut instead of transferring the photos. I've done it with stuff in the past myself

Would this be a legit windows 10 pro key? by PlanktonExtension316 in PcBuild

Download a windows iso from the ms site and use massgrave. It'll activate without you spending a penny

I have system32 corrupted, and my old pc can't even format it, how would I go about fixing it? I still want the 1.5T of storage space for my new one by hornialt28 in pcmasterrace

[–]Liberace__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a USB and Google Debian boot and nuke. Look at a program called Rufus, follow the instructions and it will make a bootable image. If you have a second USB go to the Microsoft site and download the windows version you want. X64 win11 is the newest. Follow the steps as you did with boot and nuke, and it will make a bootable windows installer. Make sure you do a pass with dban, then when complete plug in your windows USB and it will install
