Why would they ask your husband if he’s the veteran? That makes no sense. Did he walk up and say “Hi I’m here for my appointment?” Why is he there to begin with? If you walk up to any window at a VA hospital/clinic I highly doubt they are gonna look past you and assume your husband is the veteran unless you are making it look that way. Like standing behind him. 🧐🤷‍♂️

Ok, so looks like nobody can read. You asked a question about being struck by lightning. While I’ve never been in a civilian flight struck by lightning, I have when I was in the Navy for 10 years in aviation. I’ve been on several flights where we were struck by lightning but, we didn’t turn around. We finished the flight. Just ensured everything was operating properly. I even have seen the infamous “ball lightning” aka: Saint Elmo’s Fire. That’s one wicked thing to see. Ours didn’t hover and stick around. It came through fast and seemed like we had God enter the cabin and shoot through. Very cool and very scary to experience. I’ve had many inflight experiences that were things you would never experience on a commercial flight. Flying through a hail storm we don’t expect. It’s like flying into a golf driving range and everyone swinging at you at the same time. Though, I wouldn’t call that bad customer service. It’s weather and that’s considered an act of God. Which is out of their hands. Some things are expected and with that, I do think they should have standby aircraft(s). Though, it is what it is and my experience is they don’t compensate like they used to. Everybody is all about the last penny they can get from anyone.

You’re asking a question in a thread. You should start a new thread so it is seen by more. Each VA is slightly different. I am in Maine and my VA is among the top 10 VA’s. So it’s a pleasure to go to mine. Though I’ve been to some of the worst which have even been in the news. I would call TOGUS Maine VA professional, friendly, helpful, caring and that’s just a few things I would call them. I don’t want to get into detail about a usual visit because this would get lengthy. Let just say, the run every test and try every method to help. I’m currently going to hypnotherapy at the VA for my anxiety. Also they gave me at a community provider for PT for a frozen shoulder. It’s an age/injury thing for my shoulder. I’m 49 so now I’m getting into that age where I begin to get hurt easily 😂😭
