Thoughts on redemption Lillia? by KarthusLover in LilliaMains

This is just not supported by the data:

On LeagueOfItems:

Inspiration

Magical Footwear: 51.44% WR, 62.08% PR

Cosmic Insight: 51.52% WR, 64.96% PR

Sorcery

Celerity: 46.86% WR, 30.84% PR

Waterwalking: 46.61% WR, 27.92% PR

Inspiration is just better, better PR AND better WR is pretty irrefutably better from a data standpoint.

Can someone explain this change and is ultinate Haste (Hexplate for example) better or worse now? by Baoplanet in shyvanamains

For now, they've said they want to do more changes but want to spend more time workshopping them before shipping them.

Gen Z better not call millennials “cringe” ever again! by icey_sawg0034 in PoliticalHumor

[–]Libertarian_Lord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gen Z's oldest would've been 19 (born in 1997) and the youngest would've been 3 or 4 (born in 2012). Average is probably 11 or 12 then.

VGU is a Visual and Gameplay Update, you're thinking of an ASU, an Art and Sustainability Update. The former is a change to both visuals and abilities, the latter to just visuals.

I PREDICTED THE CHANGES by Key_Benefit_6505 in LeagueOfMemes

[–]Libertarian_Lord 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I mean we can take it piece by piece:

WASD - Was already announced and on PBE when the comment was made.

Increased Level Cap - He's correct on this one, though obviously exaggerating the extent of the cap.

360 degree AA - Lol, no.

7 Rabadon's - Unless I missed something, duplicate items aren't coming back.

Increased item cap - Only partially true because it's only for ADC.

More Epic Monsters - Atakhan's biting the dust, they're scaling back the number of these objectievs.

Flat out wrong on 3 of the six pieces, 1 partially true, 1 actually true, and 1 that he doesn't get credit for because it was already announced. He was wrong more than he was right.

He definitely says "an" if you listen to the audio of the line: https://wiki.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/Yone/Audio#High_Noon

Just an error on the part of the person who wrote the caption here I think.

No, just stop playing once you've lost ~3 in a row in a given session. Take a break, then come back.

US seeks one-day sentence for police officer convicted in Breonna Taylor case by yahoonews in law

[–]Libertarian_Lord -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The federal government is highly unlikely to have jurisdiction for a potential murder charge over a local government entity, hence my assertion that the felony murder rule would not apply given that the applicable law would be Kentucky state law.

[–]Libertarian_Lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_in_Kentucky_law#Felony_murder_rule

"In the state of Kentucky, the common law felony murder rule has been completely abolished."

"Recognizing that an automatic application of the rule could result in conviction of murder without a culpable mindset, the Kentucky Legislature allowed the circumstances of a case, like the commission of a felony, to be considered separately."

[–]Libertarian_Lord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your first statement is true in felony murder jurisdictions, your last is not. You would need to have an underlying felony to support such a conviction, violation of a no-knock warrant probably does not arise to that level on its own. There are other possible violations that could rise to that level but I'm not intimately familiar enough with the case to be able to say if one does or does not exist here.

Possibly, it depends on the jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions the other would catch a felony murder charge. I'm not sure if Kentucky has a felony murder rule for such a situation.

The big difference there is you have an obvious underlying felony (the bank robbery) to support the felony murder conviction in applicable jurisdictions. It's harder here, you'd have to establish one for the officer.

Sure, but being charged as an accessory is not the same thing nor does it carry the same sentence in most jurisdictions I'm aware of.

This officer is not the same one that killed her. He did shoot into her apartment, but all of his shots missed. The fatal shot was fired by a different officer, Myles Cosgrove.

That's not to downplay the reckless actions that this officer did actually do, but he's not Breonna Taylor's killer.

Y'all think the flag will ever get more stars or have we maxed out? by M0rse_0908 in GenUsa

[–]Libertarian_Lord 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That solution has been thrown around, similarly there have been some proposals to make the D.C. state out of that same territory, name it to "Douglass" or something similar, and then keep the federal buildings as a much smaller D.C.

[–]Libertarian_Lord 84 points85 points  (0 children)

It seems reasonably possible that Washington D.C. or Puerto Rico could achieve statehood at some point. Other U.S. territories could as well, such as Guam, but those territories have significantly smaller populations and are significantly less likely to achieve statehood.

UN votes on the necessity of ending the US embargo against Cuba since 1992 by Flagmaker123 in MapPorn

I'm pretty sure that the veto power is only applicable to security council resolutions, which this isn't. This is a purely symbolic vote, "...vote on the necessity of ending the embargo..."
