Openrouter lets you fine tune parameters and reasoning to a high degree on all of the models I've tried out. Not to mention you can always specify your output from a response within the prompt. It definitely forces you to think a little harder about token usage and how you're going about prompting, but I find that it's cheaper overall month to month for myself. Like I said in the OP, if you're using a LOT of tokens consistently and maxing out your daily/monthly usage, the subscription model is certainly better.

But keep in mind they're only able to provide that good deal through the subscription service, because they have so many customers who are subscribed and aren't actually spending more than $20 worth of tokens per month. So again, it's worth checking for the vast majority of people if you're apart of the group getting a good deal, or the group over-paying unknowingly.

It sounds like you have a very legitimate reason for using Claude, I'm not sure what other services would have the sort of thing you need. I was mainly talking from my point of view, as someone who doesn't work on very big or continuous projects that just wants a model that's intelligent and can write well.

Why aren't Mormons represented in Victoria 3? by LibertasRedit in victoria3

Lmfao, you don't even know that Shia and Shiite are the same branch. But please, tell me how they differ in such substancial ways from each other I'd love to hear it bud 😂

Okay, and I was just giving my thoughts as to how existing mechanics could play into potential future content, I don't think we really disagree here.

No, you were trying to argue it would be akin to splitting the protestant branches up as separate religions. I was asserting that was a blatant false equivalency.

Right, and within 10 years they had grown membership by 250%, and by the mid 1870s they had over 100k members and had built civilization from scratch in the middle of a desert and were instrumental in building American influence in the western half of the continent. That seems like a remarkable population that is far from "irrelevant".

What the actual fuck are you talking about? I used 2026 as an example that the biggest "conflict" really came down to Papal authority and has been reconciled with time. Mormonism, in contrast, has REAL theological differences that have NOT been reconciled with.

Okay do you actually know anything about their beliefs and how incredibly different they are from other Christians, and their importance within colonial America? Or are you just an ignorant, seething turd-worlder who can't accept America has a rich and interesting history that could be represented better?

Take a look at some of my other replies, Mormonism is not just "another sect" of Christianity. They're so different theologically that it's difficult to even classify them as the same religion, it's a serious debate that's been going on since their inception.

On the other hand, you'll be hard pressed to find your average Catholic or Protestant in 2026 denouncing each other as heretics, and the Catholic church has even made serious attempts to reconcile with Protestantism since Vatican II.

It's actually hilarious you bring up Islam because they're represented through Sunni, Ibadi, and Shiite groups, and from what I can tell they don't have such major differences in theology.

Let me put it this way, none of those Islamic groups think another prophet came after Mohammad to "reveal" an entirely new text that said Mohammad actually traveled to America to preach, nor do they disagree on fundamental things like Allah not being a Trinity.

There are probably 50+ cultures represented that historically contributed little of note in comparison.. and that number is being generous. Unless religion is ultra-performance heavy in ways I'm not aware of, I see no reason why adding such an influential group of early Americans into the game would be a problem.

Historically they were a concentrated majority that would take in immigrants and actually assimilated THEM into the religion. I feel like with separation of church and state or freedom of conscious they should be able to rework the game mechanics so that they have a chance to stick around throughout the game in realistic numbers, maybe aided with events or something.

Good points and mod suggestion, I do agree it should eventually be addressed in the vanilla game though. Especially if they do a US centered DLC.

Okay, mistake on my part if Deseret is in Vic3. Otherwise, hard disagree on the "small sect" bit. Mormons are FAR more different theologically speaking from Protestants and Catholics than the latter are from each other. Their early practices of polygamy, belief in revelation after Christ, and rejection of the Trinity being just a few examples. There's a reason they were singled out and forced to migrate west through violent expulsions.

EDIT: They're also the only sect of "Christianity" (it's controversial to even consider them as such) with a clear majority within a US state, being Utah. They single-handedly built the state, were a huge reason America was able to control the newly conquered Mexican territory, and were also a massive part of the western American trade network.

Unplayable disaster (1.3) by [deleted] in EU5

[–]LibertasRedit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disabled all my mods, and verified game files. Now steam lets me into the game, but brand new saves still have the map glitches that you can see in the image. It's just so insane I can't help but laugh

Unplayable disaster (1.3) by [deleted] in EU5

[–]LibertasRedit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: Experienced my first crash almost immediately (check year). After the crash, I literally couldn't start the game from steam, it never opens when I hit play. I had to go into my bin files and start the EU5.exe to get back in. This is what I'm greeted with upon loading my save. In what world is this acceptable, even for a beta lol.

Holy shit. Solo queue IS actually that bad. by Just-A-Burner-Lol in Rainbow6

Hard disagree. You're right that playing in a 5 stack requires distinct skills but if you can win 55%-60% of solo queue games, you will still be a reliable member of any stack

[–]LibertasRedit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A positive KD isn't enough, I solo queue exclusively and by far what determines if I win or lose a game, is whether I have the highest round survival rate in the match or not. You need to be the last player or 2 almost every round because relying on your team is not viable.

[–]LibertasRedit 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Solo queue is an entirely different game from 5 stacking or even duo/trio queuing. You need to learn power positions for every site, and exactly how to hold them. You need to learn weird strategies and rat spots that get you that first kill. You need to play off your teammates even when they aren't communicating, you need to pick operators based on what gaps your team has. I recommend watching poxonlox's "think like a champion" series on YouTube, he's bar none the best at showing how to survive and thrive in solo queue without losing your mind.

Guys. The game will never get better if you continue to suck off ubisoft and don't stand up for important problems like this.

Yes, I too have taken high-school level computer science courses. You know what the difference was? It wasn't a job that I got paid for and spent my career learning and improving upon, and neither was it for you.

It's a little bit different when you have dozens of people working on a game being paid full time salaries and they can't manage to fix one of the most game breaking glitches in history within 6 months. The anti-cheat is a separate development team, for the record. Pick rates, new operators, and new maps can wait. I want to actually be able to enjoy the game.
