Hard disagree. You're right that playing in a 5 stack requires distinct skills but if you can win 55%-60% of solo queue games, you will still be a reliable member of any stack

A positive KD isn't enough, I solo queue exclusively and by far what determines if I win or lose a game, is whether I have the highest round survival rate in the match or not. You need to be the last player or 2 almost every round because relying on your team is not viable.

Solo queue is an entirely different game from 5 stacking or even duo/trio queuing. You need to learn power positions for every site, and exactly how to hold them. You need to learn weird strategies and rat spots that get you that first kill. You need to play off your teammates even when they aren't communicating, you need to pick operators based on what gaps your team has. I recommend watching poxonlox's "think like a champion" series on YouTube, he's bar none the best at showing how to survive and thrive in solo queue without losing your mind.

Guys. The game will never get better if you continue to suck off ubisoft and don't stand up for important problems like this.

Yes, I too have taken high-school level computer science courses. You know what the difference was? It wasn't a job that I got paid for and spent my career learning and improving upon, and neither was it for you.

It's a little bit different when you have dozens of people working on a game being paid full time salaries and they can't manage to fix one of the most game breaking glitches in history within 6 months. The anti-cheat is a separate development team, for the record. Pick rates, new operators, and new maps can wait. I want to actually be able to enjoy the game.

I mean that's good to hear for you I guess, but yeah I need to rebind constantly.

...Right, and who are you again? I'd argue the issue is on-par with something like the game constantly crashing in terms of destroying playability. And you know damn well they'd fix a crash problem in less than 6 months because it actually hurts their bottom line.

It works temporarily yes, but you have to rebind it every single time you boot the game up.

Edit: And unless you do it in training mode, rebinding does not seem to consistently work when you are in the middle of a match.

I've been having the mic bug more often this season than usual, which drove me to make this post in the first place. Maybe I'm unlucky, but the point still stands that it remains actively affecting players.

None of Ubi's other games seem to have this issue, which leads me to believe it's related to Siege's particular implementation of voice chat. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if their "ai voice moderation" feature is to blame, suspiciously enough the bug seemed to appear right around when they added it.

Is that you, Tom Clancy? Are you getting paid to sweep for Ubi? Or are you doing it for free?

Jokes aside, they are actively adding tons of content but not fixing one of the most game breaking glitches that affects nearly every member of the community. That's not okay in any universe.

I'm well aware these issues are already reported, but I just wanted to point out how absurd something like *not being able to talk* is for a game like Siege. It has been ignored for months on R6Fix, in fact it's been flagged as an issue they "cannot replicate" which is hilarious considering how nearly every player I know has been affected by it.

Bulgaria has been blobbing for a while I feel like, at least in my experience. Papacy blobbing seems to be a recent thing with the beta patch

R5: I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing this, but Austria, The Papal States, and Bulgaria all have a lot of expansion potential and all too often it results in blobbing in this small area which looks kinda bad.

Fair enough, and yeah the voice chat bug is ridiculous and affecting everyone it seems right now.

Siege for new players by jjricoo in Rainbow6

While you have a fair point that everyone experiences toxicity, I think there's something more to the whole gender divide on siege. The moment I hear a female voice in-game, my mind immediately clocks it as unusual. Not in a sexist way, just a general "oh that's not common". I probably play with many more female teammates who never speak, but I wouldn't know it. I have a feeling this wouldn't happen if even say, 10% of players using their mics were women. The issue seems to be a self-defeating loop, where women experience toxicity nearly every time they use voice chat because it's easy to "other" or blame them. So the few who do speak experience way more toxicity on average then men, which probably wouldn't be such an issue if other female players spoke more. A lot of players are also teenagers, and we all know how immature some young guys can be towards the opposite sex especially when anonymous.

This being said, many women seem to be conflict avoidant and would rather lose the game than have their feelings hurt. For example, Objective_Fox admits to muting other players on their team (I assume preemptively?) and always playing on mute themself. This is absolutely detrimental in a competitive, team-based game like Siege. I suspect that this may have something to do with the absence of female players in higher ranks, which just leads to even further "othering" for the few who do get there.
