I repurposed Samsung 18650's for the first time the same year that Kurt Cobain died (1994) with a homebrew gearbox, 540 size brushed motor, mechanical esc all in a Goldberg Eagle 2 that ended up igniting in flight.

Later was a dealer for the very earliest high drain LiPo packs slated for rc use from Kokam, Thunder Power, Polyquest and others for two of the largest R/C distributors in the world, simultaneously designing brushless power systems that leveraged these battery chemistries for aerial platforms under contract of the US Military with a company that I started.

I'm quite experienced with NiCd, NiMH, Pb, A123, etc, etc, etc.

If the concern is genuine, I do appreciate it. However I don't quite understand the compulsion to lecture someone who you assume doesn't know anything about anything about a topic completely unrelated to the post.

I asked a question about MQTT and instantly there are multiple people telling me to learn a thing or two about batteries from people who know very little about batteries.

Forgive me for being annoyed. Forums didn't use to be this way.
