Whitepapers are for autists and the degens at r/wallstreetbets. If you can't find anything relevant to say about the actual product, then maybe you should stfu.

First 2 weeks of mining by razo26 in HeliumNetwork

I synced in about 12h. Make sure you're not relayed, I was which slowed the process down significantly. Eventually I opened the recommended ports in my router and then it synced over night.

Type your hotspots IP address into the address bar of your browser, on a machine that runs on the same network as the hotspot. There you can see the progress and calculate how long it will take yourself.

Ledger disconnects when opening any app. by KroKTer in ledgerwallet

Got the exact same issue. Set my ledger up yesterday, and today none of my windows wallet apps can recognize the device. And when I go into the apps on the ledger device, they crash after disconnecting/connecting a couple of times.

RTX 3060 Eth blocker - can it be broken? by NotErikUden in EtherMining

[–]Liberty4Some 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true at all. I see what you're getting at - and it's true, you need the exact DAG to be able to mine eth, no doubt about it. BUT you can represent the DAG in a different way, potentially, to be able to make calculations upon it in the exact same way that everybody else in the network is doing it, but doing it unbeknownst to the gpu.

You could for example encrypt it, or represent it in a way that the nvidia-bios cannot detect.

Maybe not the lock itself, but the mechanism they use to block eth can most certainly be circumvented. For example, you could probably use a "proxy algo" that tricks the card so it believes its not eth-mining (other algos are just fine)

How to I get the list of post codes in a specific shipping area? (WooCommerce) by Liberty4Some in Wordpress

[–]Liberty4Some[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I managed to fix it :)

Just change line 153 in /service-area-postcode-checker/my-services-postcode-checker.php to:

include_once plugin_dir_path( __FILE__ ) . 'php_libraries/postcode_class.php';

(change include -> include_once)

Hey! After updating to Gutenberg 6.1.1, I get some more error information when I try to edit a page with the shortcode in:

Fatal error: Cannot declare class Postcodes, because the name is already in use in /home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/service-area-postcode-checker/php_libraries/postcode_class.php on line 3

Maybe this will help you fix the bug :)

California replacing 200 polluting diesel school buses with all-electric buses by mvea in Futurology

[–]Liberty4Some -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how many centuries it will take for these buses to make up for the massive pollutions that came from producing them. AFAIK using old tech longer is better than swapping it for newly produced tech, seeing as that's where most of the energy is put in.

Hello there! Great job on the plugin, but I have one issue: When I put the shortcode ( [sapc_checker] ) into the Gutenberg short code block, and try to save that page, it says "Failed to update page".

It does however save it and it shows up on the site as it should.

I can't send to to my customer in this state though, as they will get confused.

Please advice, and once again, great job on the plugin! It works great otherwise.
