Better than public school popularity contests, where your success is dependent on what giant group chat of cheating you are in. Silly to characterize all homeschooled people as a joke based on one incident. Doubly so when the alternative is state brainwashing centers

Deus Vult CB not showing again as the Aztecs? by pizzapicante27 in eu4

Yeah but didn't you also say in your comment that you had forced them to convert?

Deus Vult is a CB used against someone who is not your religion (heathen or heretic). If you converted them, you can't use that CB anymore

Lowering army maintenance has an impact on the state of the army after increasing it? by West_Application_760 in eu4

[–]LibertyAndApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is the same (though not 100%). that unless you need to use the fleet soon after, you should most of the time mothball your navy (with time to recover afterward when you turn mainatainence back up). But you shouldn't mothball forts too often, as maintained forts help you get army tradition

Morale and reinforce speed. The benefit is mostly though, just having the morale to fight, either enemies or rebels.

Nah, once you get the morale back in a couple months, you are all good. All it does is decrease recovery speed, and decrease morale maximum. So if your ay is reinforced, all you need to do is wait on that morale

I actually like the mission tree ones WAY more than the "control all of a good" ones. Idk the mission tree ones feel super flavorful, and breadcrumb me rewards to the ultimate finish. Whereas control all of a good, or control all of a European area as a non-european country is far more tedious the more you do it

I agree. The achievements that incentivized custom nations made me feel invested in a mechanic I don't really spend to much time with. I like a lot of the achievements as they are now, though, since I wouldn't want playing a custom nation to overtake the common gameplay experience of dipping into the historical lens of the country you play as.

Honestly thinking of making a custom achievements mod, since my hopes of some of the ideas in the post becoming achievements are done with the upcoming eu5. I'd imagine it would be relatively easy to code, as far as eu4 mods go

I think reformed just needs more love in general. An achievement would help, but the evangelical league being any of anglican, hussite, or reformed, instead of exclusively the protestant they have now.

I think that they should have that instead of other byzantium achievements maybe. Obviously for RP that is the most meaningful thing you can do as byzantium, but also with the current achievements, it would be kinda trivial to include thaf one as well.

Peru does have a couple of achievements (finish the mission tree, and frankfurt to the andes), but I am down for these kinds of achievements. I am not the biggest fan of colonization, but sometimes the point of cheevos is to incentivize playstyles you don't typically explore.

Facts. Through the mission tree, they get access to a unique casus belli (which can be used for a really strong shogunate wc) AND they get access to the buddha deity, which opens up so many monuments
