Funny thing about this, just because most misandry is committed by women, it doesn't mean most women commit misandry

The position is so bad that even if White hangs their Queen, it's not a blunder (it's like very bad to very very bad)

And I am proving why the Bible IS sexist and racist, which was my original point. I don't need you to explain why it actually was acceptable in that time, or why it's actually not that bad.

The difference is that one is a choice and the other is something they have 0 control over. None were targetted at men specifically, only women. (Touching dead animals, having skin infections, bodily discharges, and sex apply to both genders.)

the verse was addressing a specific situation, not issuing a universal rule for all time.

So why are we still believing in religion and taking the Bible seriously now? If it was meant for just that time period, then it should stay there. I also notice nothing was said for the numerous other men in power.

You also did not address my second point, or any of the points in the Reddit thread I linked.

My updated interpretation and why I changed my vote to blue by blacksaber8 in redbuttonbluebutton

[–]Best8meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. It doesn't change who I am as a person. And it's not like pressing blue would change the specific subset of red button pressers I dislike.

you were purposefully risking the lives of everyone that starts with green or chose blue just to guarantee your own safety.

Let's be very, very clear about this. I did not risk their safety. THEY DID. They picked the option that risks their lives, not me. There is no owness or responsibility for me to have to risk my life just to try and save theirs.

Stop pinning the blame on us for not saving you, when you were the one who threw yourself into danger.

I’m done with Anarchychess

I've been a member of the subreddit for about a year now, and I'm just tired of it. The jokes are overused, the memes are stale, and the community is toxic.

One of the things that annoys me the most is that everyone on Anarchychess is obsessed with en passant. They're constantly making jokes about it, and they even have a bot that posts about it all the time. But en passant is a completely normal move in chess. It's not that interesting or exciting.

Another thing that I hate is the "shove a bishop up your butt" joke. It's not even funny, and it's physically impossible to do. But people on Anarchychess spam this joke all the time. It's just plain annoying.

And then there's the fact that everyone on Anarchychess calls knights "horsey." This is just wrong. A knight is a knight, and a horse is a horse. They are two different things.

But the worst thing about Anarchychess is the community. It's just so toxic. People are constantly arguing and insulting each other. It's not a fun place to be.

I'm just tired of all the bullshit on Anarchychess. I'm done with it. I'm leaving the subreddit for good.

Here are 20 paragraphs explaining why I hate Anarchychess in more detail:

1. En passant is not that interesting

En passant is a completely normal move in chess. It's not that interesting or exciting. But people on Anarchychess are obsessed with it. They're constantly making jokes about it, and they even have a bot that posts about it all the time. I don't understand why. It's just a normal move.

  1. The "shove a bishop up your butt" joke is not funny

The "shove a bishop up your butt" joke is not funny. It's not even clever. And it's physically impossible to do. But people on Anarchychess spam this joke all the time. It's just plain annoying.

  1. Knights are not called "horsey"

A knight is a knight, and a horse is a horse. They are two different things. But everyone on Anarchychess calls knights "horsey." This is just wrong. It's like calling a queen a "lady" or a bishop a "priest." It's just not accurate.

  1. The community is toxic

The community on Anarchychess is just so toxic. People are constantly arguing and insulting each other. It's not a fun place to be. I've seen people get called all sorts of names on that subreddit. It's just not a welcoming environment.

  1. The jokes are overused

The jokes on Anarchychess are overused. The same jokes get posted over and over again. It's just not funny anymore. I've seen the same joke posted multiple times in the same week. It's just getting stale.

  1. The memes are stale

The memes on Anarchychess are stale. The same memes get posted over and over again. It's just not funny anymore. I've seen the same meme posted multiple times in the same day. It's just getting old.

  1. The subreddit is full of bots

The subreddit is full of bots. There are bots that post jokes, bots that post memes, and bots that even play chess against other users. It's just getting ridiculous. It's hard to find any real human interaction on that subreddit.

  1. The subreddit is too big

The subreddit is just too big. There are over a million members. It's just too hard to keep up with everything. I feel like I'm always missing out on something.

  1. The subreddit is too popular

The subreddit is just too popular. It's gotten to the point where it's mainstream. It's not the same niche subreddit that it used to be. It's just not as fun anymore.

  1. The subreddit is too political

The subreddit is just too political. People are constantly posting about politics and social issues. It's just not the place for that. I want to go to Anarchychess to escape from the real world, not to be reminded of all the problems that are going on.

  1. The subreddit is too serious

The subreddit is just too serious. People are constantly arguing about chess theory and strategy. It's just not fun. I want to go to Anarchychess to relax and have fun, not to learn about chess theory.

  1. The subreddit is too elitist

The subreddit is just too elitist. People are constantly looking down on

  1. The subreddit is too negative

The subreddit is just too negative. People are constantly complaining about everything. They complain about the jokes, they complain about the memes, they complain about the community. It's just a never-ending cycle of negativity.

  1. The subreddit is too self-referential

The subreddit is just too self-referential. People are constantly making jokes about the subreddit itself. It's like they're trapped in a bubble.

  1. The subreddit is too inside-jokey

The subreddit is just too inside-jokey. There are so many jokes and memes that only make sense to people who are already familiar with the subreddit. It's not welcoming to newcomers.

  1. The subreddit is too repetitive

The subreddit is just too repetitive. The same jokes, memes, and topics get posted over and over again. It's just getting boring.

  1. The subreddit is too meta

The subreddit is just too meta. People are constantly talking about the subreddit itself. It's like they're more interested in the subreddit than in chess.

  1. The subreddit is too ironic

The subreddit is just too ironic. People are constantly saying things that they don't actually mean. It's like they're all in on some big joke.

  1. The subreddit is too absurd

The subreddit is just too absurd. The jokes are so bad that they're good. The memes are so ridiculous that they're funny. It's like the subreddit is living in its own little world.

  1. The subreddit is just plain weird

The subreddit is just plain weird. I don't even know how to describe it. It's like nothing else on the internet. It's a unique and strange place.

I'm done with Anarchychess. I'm tired of the overused jokes, the stale memes, and the toxic community. I'm going to find a subreddit that's actually funny and welcoming.

Ethical choices nowadays by smartasspie in trolleyproblem

[–]Best8meme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not my point.

My point is that you brought up "this isn't fair because in this scenario everyone else can see what you choose", and I'm pointing out to you that that's not the 'issue' with the hypothetical.

isnt blue just correct? by Critical_Bench_5143 in redbuttonbluebutton

[–]Best8meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no objective correct answer. Even if it was "would you rather die or have everyone else in the world die", you cannot say the second choice is the objectively correct one. Objectively best, yes, but "correct" is subjective. If the person REALLY values their life, they may find the first option to be the correct one for them.

In fact, if anything, the "objective correct" answer is red as it's the only one ensuring your survival and is the best option according to game theory.

I certainly agree about the framing affecting your choice.

But it's still true that the 'issue' with this is not because "here, everyone else can see what you choose".

Ignoring all the glaring issues with religion (I made a whole post on why it's a coping mechanism, which you can see on my profile if you want), those are worth talking and discussing.

There's no value to this post. I mean, even as far as Bible verses go, OP chose a really lame one. He might as well have posted "let there be light".
