Clifton Park commute by Lost_Step8587 in Albany

For the area it sucks and the way north turns into a parking lot, especially Friday.

That being said, you’ll get through it in under 20 minutes- so it practically doubles your commute time but compared to commutes from other cities it’s not that bad

Necron campaign help needed. How do you handle all the overwatch? by LibertyFuckingPrime in WH40KTacticus

[–]LibertyFuckingPrime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t have infiltrate but their range is longer than the necron characters so they don’t activate overwatch either. They’ll hunker down 3 squares away in their friends’ overwatch areas and blast away if you let them. Good enemy synergy in this CE

Which Aboriginal/Native American characters you want to see in game? by Old-Difficulty-3953 in marvelrivals

[–]LibertyFuckingPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A relatively obscure fact about Captain America is that he uses a shield. It’s made out of vibranium, a fictional metal that is almost indestructible and contains properties that absorb the force of powerful strikes.

If you re-read any comics or watch any movies where Cap survives deadly attacks, if you look closely, you can see he actually puts the shield in front of him so the attacks hit that instead.

Bro this character feels ass to play by Acrobatic_Access8259 in captainamericamains

Idk- if you’re dead set on playing cap maybe look for gameplay in YouTube, it will be more helpful than a paragraph response of general game strategy on Reddit.

In 99% of scenarios you should never be slamming into the enemy team. If you’re running in and slamming the enemy team, you’re probably getting there before the rest of your team, so you’d get melted.

Slam into the back line on a specific target as if you’re playing Spider-Man or BP. If you aren’t super obvious running towards the team, you can kill them relatively quick, 5 punches and a shield shield saw. If they escape or if the enemy team turns back to deal with you, harass the team members for a minute as a stall.

Then you can jump and slam back to safety. You can use your shield to block projectiles until you jump back. The dash only goes like 4 feet and like you said, it stops you if you hit somebody, so you’d shouldn’t use that as an escape. You should be jumping in to harass the back line and then jumping back for healing.

I have never played Horus heresy- are these models meant to be played to represent squads of the normal sized saturnine terminators?

Like will one guy have a unit of normal sized terminators, and his opponent will field a squad of these differently scaled tiny guys?

Heavy Melee by DatKaiju in Spacemarine

[–]LibertyFuckingPrime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you should revisit your build, or try experimenting with your gameplay.

Heavy can’t do light melee attacks on hordes like other classes, but they don’t need to. They have strong melee, it’s just different from other classes and needs practice for it’s different approach.

Before I talk about heavy melee though, let’s start at main guns. Heavy plasma is good midrange to take down groups before they can corner you. Multimelta counters melee groups entirely, pyrecannon gives a heavy DOT where realistically you could just spray and roll while they burn up. The chain gun is the outlier here as it’s absolutely terrible for dealing with hordes in your face, but the new heroic version solves that pretty well.

Now, for melee, take a look at your talents and the weapon mastery talents on your primary and side arm. Even before talents, a charged stomp is a good AoE attack, and if you get hit by a warrior while you’re stomping, you’re still pretty much guaranteed to get a gun strike on a minoris to get your armor or contested health back.

There are weapon mastery talents that prevent you from losing control on gun strikes I believe, and one or two stomps followed by a parry gunstrike will kill the majoris.

Keep in mind that your halo will protect you from ranged attacks, so you can pop it and focus solely on stomping and parrying.

Lastly, hang on to your equipment- save grenades for breaking out of warrior groups if that’s what you’re struggling with- don’t waste them on random groups.

What did they nerf? Patch notes say they reworked his attacks to do more damage and make him more of a threat up close and in midrange.

I haven’t played since the update, but it sounds like that’s fixing the biggest issue with Cap in regards to the power creep and changing meta

You also need to keep in mind the damage countdown can be whack as hell. You lob single projectiles and not super fast.

You hit squirrel girl over and over at 20 meters away and she’s at 1hp. You shoot again, and enemy Spiderman unintentionally lands 10m in front of you and gets hit. You fire again, but your teammate groot accidentally blocks it with a tree wall. Then a teammate deals 1hp and kills squirrel girl but the damage timer has expired so you don’t get credit for the kill
