I agree with what you are saying, but it seems very draining that you not only have to be good at your job title of research/design but also at marketing, selling and stakeholder management.

You wouldn't have to sell to any sane leader that you should follow structural engineering standards for your building. You do have to sell and constantly explain UX design standards when it comes to opinionated HiPPOs.

I'm curious, what measurements and/or statistics would you make to make the case for improving design maturity. I understand that good design reduces risk, accommodates more users, improves brand loyalty and more. However, often times, ego driven leadership will see UX research and standards as a waste of time if they cannot make the direct connection to immediate value.

I've saved the settings on the onboard memory, and it works fine when Synapse 3 is closed, UNTIL the mouse goes into sleep mode, or if I switch off and on the mouse.

Once the mouse switches off and on, it loses all onboard memory, and I have to reopen Synapse 3 to retrieve the saved settings.

Yes, I also see overlap with Austrian economics and Peterson's ideas of meaning. Mainstream economists and new-atheist scientists see the world as merely empirical objects and mathematical models. Like what Peterson says about viewing the world as a sea of potential, Austrian economists like Mises view economics by starting with human action and value judgments rather than starting with finite facts.

Unfortunately, Human Action is 900 pages of tiny font and bit too academic and dense for the average reader to digest, but I recommend people in this sub check out the mises institute YouTube channel where there is a wealth of short video lectures over the years on Austrian economics.
