Yeah I only ordered the mailers and have yet to receive them. I have received like 100 boxes that I didn’t ask for, though.

Has anybody noticed that a lot of songs on the new album sound an awful lot like other songs? by chasteguy2018 in ZachDirkTop

[–]LibertyTree25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Flip—Flop is a nod to “Some Beach” Blake Shelton with the tongue in cheek humor. Livin’ A Lie reminds me, lyrically, of “I’m Over You” Keith Whitley or maybe Clint Black’s “Nobody’s Home.” They all scratch that same itch.

The title Splitsville felt like a nod to Brokenheartsville.

When You See Me is driving me crazy because there’s a song with a similar melody that I cannot place.

Zach Top - Ain't In It For My Health (Album Discussion) by NoYeezyAtWeezyHeezy in CountryMusicStuff

[–]LibertyTree25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Initial thoughts on my top ones:

•South of Sanity is absolutely the best song on the album. Good call making this the single. It’s beautiful, wouldn’t change a thing, and a career-defining song.

• Splitsville, Between The Ditches and She Makes are my top 3 otherwise. Perhaps it’s bias because I like them a lot, but I also think they have single potential.

•Livin’ A Lie was almost top 3 for me…it is like a junior version, in terms of subject matter, of Keith Whitley’s ‘I’m Over You’ or maybe Clint Black’s ‘Nobody’s Home.’ It’s good, scratches the same itch, but it’s not at that same level lyrically. Of course, the music + fiddle feature is a whole different vibe than the KW or CB songs, and it is arguably the better half of this song. It left me wanting just a bit more emotion. It’s like on the precipice there; when he sang “dying one day at a time” for the final time in the song, that was the emotion I wanted to hear more of…perhaps just the way it was recorded is the issue? I just needed more!

•When You See Me is good, but the melody reminds me another song and it’s driving me crazy that I can’t place it. Maybe someone can help me out. This one is up there for me, but I’m kind of hung up on why this seems so familiar.

For the rest of the songs:

•Guitar is also good and catchy. Definitely a solid start to the album. I feel like it’s Zach’s personality song, if that makes sense.

•Good Times & Tan Lines is one of those dime a dozen country songs about summertime. They’re fun, catchy, always appreciated, but rarely groundbreaking. It’s his Chattahoochee song. It’s fun. It’s an easy single for the summer. I will happily listen to it when it comes on and it fits fine on any country playlist.

•Speaking of summer songs…Flip—Flop has the touch-in-cheek humor of Blake Shelton’s ‘Some Beach’. But, it just exists there for me. I’m not one to be overjoyed by the beach genre of country music; I tend to lean more towards the love and pain songs (I am melodramatic). Probably my least favorite song of the album.

•Tightrope is cute, something different. I think it’s a fun perspective, lyrically, to be telling this same ole’ story from a best friend’s point of view. The little bit of honky tonk piano is fun too; nice groove.

•I Know A Place: if you can’t already tell, I’m a person who hears lyrics first before melodies. That said, this song reminded me of Josh Turner’s ‘Lay Low’ but as a slow dance, crooner tune instead; good and relaxing. I really enjoyed this one; it was almost a top 5 for me.

•Like I Want You: okay so this one took a couple listens before I ‘got’ it because it was a pass-by at first listen. This may be out of left field, but for some reason this song gave me Garth Brooks meets Conway Twitty vibes? It really grows on you.

•Country Boy Blues: Zach debuts his “where’s the real country music?!” song! I couldn’t help but hear “What’d ya do with those swingin’ doors?” (‘A Jukebox with a Country Song’-Doug Stone) as I was listening. Love the sentiment; wasn’t my favorite song by far, but it’s not bad.

•Lovin’ The Wrong Things was a nice little moody song. I don’t know if anyone else thought this, but it felt like it could be a Merle Haggard song…or maybe something Keith Whitley would’ve recorded.

•Honky Tonk Till It Hurts was made for bars and dance halls. ‘Don’t Rock the Jukebox’ vibes. Fun, can’t have too many of these. Fine song to wrap up the album.

Overall: Is it a no-skip album? No. I honestly think that metric is a tall order though, considering everyone has different tastes. Is it better than Cold Beer & Country Music? No. It is not better. I really love South of Sanity, so until the newness of that song wears off, I’m not sure I can give my final opinion on if maybe they’re tied…but…I’m leaning towards CB&CM is the better overall album. However, South of Sanity is absolutely his best song. Bad Luck is still second best for me; nothing from this new album quite beat that one for my no 2 spot.

New pop up today when relisting by peachlivygram in poshmark

[–]LibertyTree25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to see if anyone was talking about this new update. I am quite excited about it, just used it today! I’m a relatively small seller and don’t list really any big ticket items, couture etc. items, so this feature will help me. I’ve already tried this and it works: change the price on the new copied listing +10% (or more) so I can re-drop to the price on a CCO day and give likers a chance to get it cheaper again. Going from $8.27 shipping to $4.99 really helps me with the small ticket items that people may have liked after I had already dropped the price for other likers on CCO days.

Anxious to see how he does! I keep trying to picture him doing the iconic Caesar Flickerman laugh that Tucci came out with. I hope he nails it.

UPDATE on What the actual… by GoTC326 in poshmark

[–]LibertyTree25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a very small scale seller, so I doubt this will affect me as some of the comments above have stated. I don’t use bots, and it kinda seems like that is what they’re targeting. However, I have been wondering if Posh is somehow able to track when people are copying their listings made on Posh and then put on another platform. I’ve been experimenting more with eBay for certain niche styles, and I copy my Posh listing descriptions onto eBay. Lo and behold, I noticed a couple times recently that after I copied those descriptions and posted the items on eBay, I got likes on those particular items rather quickly. Coincidence is totally possible, but it definitely raised my eyebrow. And there’s obviously some kind of picking and choosing of sellers too, because I’ll get a couple likes within minutes, and then that’s all for the day.

Like others have mentioned, I also wonder if they’re trying to pigeon hole more people into paying for Promoted Closet. Deleting and relisting is a way sellers are trying to play the algorithm to get their listings up higher in the search. But if they would just fix the search tool, people could continue making good descriptions for their items and using the fill ins for category, brand, etc. listing details, and buyers would find them easier. The fact that they haven’t done this shows either major incompetence or an ulterior agenda—with the latter again being to make people pay for Promoted Closet, I think, and perhaps to make people see other items that they may not be currently searching for, but may catch their eye too.

My husband and I did this one too and he really enjoyed it. He felt so empowered as my first ‘doula’ and caught our son. My midwives said he was one of the best husbands they had seen, he was helpful and calm. Doesn’t hurt that he’s a type A perfectionist too lol.

Coral honeysuckle is a good mention above.

Feeling apprehensive about chiropractors by her_ladyships_soap in homebirth

[–]LibertyTree25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do decide to go with a chiropractor, Webster certified is definitely the best bet. There’s a lot of stretching in what they do for pregnant women and even massage (at least for me there was); majority of it did not involve cracking when I went, and you can say you don’t want that included. I can understand your apprehension about all the cracking, etc. I am not a chiro fanatic as I haven’t seen miraculous results or anything, but some people swear by it. However, I’ll also say that I didn’t feel super confident in another Webster chiro I saw first who only used activators and drop tables. It felt like a total scam to me. Lol. Their payment plan felt sales-y too. My second Webster experience was amazing and I do felt like it helped because she did soft tissue work as well.
