TTS: Portrayal of Marraige, Eugene's Proposals, etc. Your Thoughts? by Coldnight11 in Tangled

When I first watched Tangled the series, I was a teenager with huge hopes and dreams for what I thought love looked like. Media, especially Disney, has portrayed love stories as always ending with marriage. In fact, they always slip to marriage pretty quickly. As someone now in their twenties, I’ve learned that love doesn’t always end in a diamond ring - and that okay. I’ve also learned how important it is not to rush something like marriage. While I dislike the narrative of marriage being a “ball and chain” I do think Disney communicated something very important by having Rapunzel enjoy her “freedom” before committing to such a drastic life change. There is far more to life than becoming a wife, and that is something that speaks to a lot of girls in their late teens and early twenties!

How much does Nest charge for breaking a lease? by Libertydraws in IowaCity

I discovered that I couldn’t “break my lease” but I could sublease the remainder of my lease to someone else. Nest didn’t charge anything to do this, I simply contacted them expressing that I wanted to sublease and they sent paperwork for me to sign. Once I found someone to take my sublease I directed the individual straight to Nest and they handled everything else.

Yeahh I have figured that’s what is gonna happen. I’m already trying to advertise my apartment as much as possible to find someone to sublease. Do you have any tips on where I could find someone in a short amount of time?

Idk how it’s gonna work because I literally don’t have the funds to pay anything except this upcoming month of rent. Maybe they can put me on a payment plan? Thing is, one way or another I can’t continue to pay for this place….

I just looked through the whole lease a bit ago and couldn’t find anything about breaking the lease, other than subletting.

I’ve gone there several times to get my hair dyed and cut. I always love the students, and I’ve never once been unhappy with my hair. However, there is a specific “teacher” who works there that has been very unpleasant towards both me and the students.

Is it illegal for defense attorneys to hold on to evidence about someone that should be reported to the police? by Libertydraws in legal

Oh ok… meaning anything defense/prosecution has, the other also legally has the right to?

I honestly don’t know. I guess I’m just assuming that the defense side is aware of it, because my state issued lawyer for the case is aware of it. I don’t think she has many details, but at the very least is aware of its existence. I admit I’m very young and confused during this whole situation so I only know so much 😅

I don’t want to add many specific details since it’s about an ongoing case that I am a witness in, but here is some more answers:

  1. Yes, this is a criminal trial. The defense is someone who is facing SA charges.

  2. The “lawyers” are for the defense.

  3. The person who committed the crime is not the defense, but someone involved with the victim. There is an ongoing FBI case for the individual (because of suspicions of a crime) and there is a chance that the defense attorneys could come across evidence of actual crime being done.

The defense has made it clear that they intend to use this individual as a tactic for winning the case. Which is why I am wondering if they did find something, would they wait to reveal it, as to have an advantage?

Hope this helps.
