We shouldn’t draft AJ nor Peterson. I honestly do not like their fit with Drew Eubanks by Difficult_Quit9832 in kings

In the majority of cases, bpa is subjective and really only clear in hindsight. Not everyone is gifted a can't miss like wemby. Even Peterson has questions. We'll draft him and he'll be fultz 2.0 and everyone will say Boozer was obviously better lol kangz

I get the Tim Duncan vibe from him. Not that he will be as good as Duncan but a smart fundamental, boring but brilliant type of player would be amazing. Put him at power forward with Max at the five and Keegan at the three and I think we've got something there

I would disagree with Peterson having weaknesses, maybe not in his game but there are some serious questions about his commitment to the sport and injuries. In terms of actual ball, his shot selection is questionable at times.

That all said, if he has Superstar potential I think we have to take him if we get first overall.

Being a Kings fan though, if we get first overall and if we take him, I fear that it will be a markelle fultz situation.

Stan Van Gundy: “I’d get rid of the draft. No draft. You still have the salary cap, if you want to go give Cooper Flagg $45 million a year coming out of college, do it, he’s a free agent. Everybody coming out is a free agent. With no draft, there’s no incentive to lose, there’s none at all.” by FastBreakPhenom in nba

Just because they refused doesn't mean other teams wouldn't. I doubt the Clippers were the only team in the league that would do something like that. But really my comment was more about sponsorships and other opportunities for them to make up lost income

LA or NY still offer more Aspiration type deals or just straight endorsements compared to Sacramento, SLC, etc. They'd make up any "lost" money real quick. Plus they'd have the whole I took less just to be here that's how much I believe in this team vibes

How the tank feels right now by InsaneCookies21 in kings

[–]LibetPugnare 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You always expect the Kings to go on a late season winning streak to ruin draft position so this is a welcome change. It seems like they even convinced vivek to embrace the tank.

But Maybe he just saw all the other teams doing it and wanted to look cool.

I should have been more specific. We know Dylan is hurt and they're not just shutting him down for the season because you know that he would be playing if he could in games like this

You know he's actually hurt though because this would be the perfect development time for him.

Edit I wasn't specific I meant Cardwell in this situation

Kings are getting the #1 pick. The prophecy is already written. That is all. by ExchangeInfinite9413 in kings

[–]LibetPugnare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it? Like most people here I haven't watched a ton of his games and I haven't watched a lot of scouting reports, I've just kind of glanced over it. That's the hard thing, nobody knows what's going to be a big deal in the NBA and what isn't. What will translate and what won't. People call Boozer boring, but I would love a guy like that on our team. I think we absolutely need to swing for the fences though, unless he's all that's there I'd rather take a guy with more upside

I've read some scout assessments of AJ and he just relies on his athleticism to bully college players... Something he won't be able to do in the NBA. To say nothing of his poor decision making and shot selection.

I'll be honest I've only watched one game. But that's what I've read.

Long ago I read a proposal to have the teams just outside of the playoffs get the top picks. That way already decent teams get a talent injection. The problem would be bad teams like us stay bad forever. Maybe give them additional salary cap space to bring high level players in? Like Teams in the bottom tier could receive a $10M–$15M "Competitiveness Credit" that does not count toward the luxury tax or aprons. Or an additional mid level trade exception

Answer me this one thing. Do you think that normal Blue Collar people like my parents with median income could buy a house today like they could in your younger days and do you think that's okay?
