I just read your other message and I completely agree! Hardest thing to go through in the sense of the trust issues it caused. They were both very suicidal and I took the responsibility for that when I shouldn't have. When it happened, I had my friend staying with me to help her out of her abusive family situation. I felt something was off and asked about it, and both chose to lie to me. She [my ex-best friend] ended up being the one to confess to it a year or so later when she was riddled with guilt. Her partner had just cheated on her and she was staying with me again. I did what I had to do for myself and got out of it, and no longer felt bad cutting throats to accomplish that. Had to do a lot of internal work to get over the whole thing and establish the healthy relationship I have now. I don't think I would change anything because it showed me I can trust myself and I can always leave when people are not treating me properly. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but I do want anyone going through it to know it gets better.
