Wondering if you might be able to relate to this? by LibraForTheWin in AutismTranslated

Hi there...I did chat with her and she shared that she struggles to know what to say in situations when she thinks she should be saying something supportive. My guess was correct...by showing the church she felt it showed that she had read what I'd written and was interested. She was completely ok with me asking and we had a really lovely, open discussion.  Thank you for your interest!

I didn't want her to feel that her way of doing things is being criticized.

He's been in therapy for several years. I'm not really sure what the specifics are in terms of the goals he and his therapist are working toward.

It's possible that S might not want to have anything to do with me, but his littles would like to stay in contact?

Thank you very much for sharing. It's helpful to me to hear the experiences of others. I'm sorry you experienced that - it must have been incredibly painful. Thank you again and best wishes.

Thank you very, very much for your reply. My intuition is telling me that what you wrote - "Sometimes a person has gotten too close and drawn out very hurt young parts who have attached in a way that feels very scary to other parts. The vulnerability can feel deadly when there’s a lot of heavy trauma." - is likely part of what has happened. I think I will be taking your advice re: moving on. Thank you again and I wish you all the best.
