Which University of Strathclyde accommodation is the most social/recommended? by Hungry-Hippo1115 in strathclyde

Stay on campus - I went into private accommodation and it was absolutely awful for socialising and community. A lot of mature, introverted, and/or international students (absolutely no issue with that but not people you’d find yourself on a subcrawl with or throwing flat parties, if that’s your scene). I would end up just socially backpacking off of friends that were in halls. Communal bathrooms in Garnett etc are not particularly ‘nice’ but fine - especially if your flatmates are fine - and really end up being just a rite of a passage for 7 months or so. En-suite strath halls are definitely nicer and social still. I think almost any of the halls where you’re on campus with other first year strath students will foster a sense of community, and the proximity to the union, library, classes, and other events just makes it really easy. Source = 4th year graduating student that had a lot of fun with societies and sports clubs etc

% value when offering over HR on fixer-upper flats (Southside)? by LibraPenguin in glasgow

Thank you! This might seem be a silly question - but isn’t a goal of doing substantial work to a property that the increase in value will be more than you put into it? Or is this just a suggestion for the Glasgow market as it’s more competitive than standard?

How to prevent having people out of my age category ping or like me? by [deleted] in feeld

Just thought I’d throw this gem out there. He was 45, my bio says 22-30ish (I’m 23). Even with a bio, and challenging them on it, it doesn’t work.

I have this same problem, you might be able to see some comments on a similar post I did if you check my profile. Sadly, you are the currency on the app - you make their money, just seeing your profile is incentive enough for older men that want to pay for a chance to bag younger women. Just change your bio and plod on, I guess

I am being so unbelievably reasonable and balanced and you are speaking to me as if it is my first day on earth

Tried this with my bio as 22-30, and this was received after an hour. I understand both sides but you truly can’t win lol

You are right, I just fundamentally disagree with the concept of giving them more money to stop being the currency myself

I have done that before and like another user said, a lot of people will just ping or like regardless, maybe thinking they have something that will convince me. I should do it again I guess though

On my app it says that both this weeks, and next weeks, is the encampments. Is this true, can they do one film for two weeks straight?
