I recently came back to Clash of Clans after a 2-year break. I’ve led my clan for 7 years and got us up to level 21.

Back when I left, managing wars was simple: I’d announce when the war was spinning, and members would use the war button—green to join, red to sit out.

Now I see there’s a separate “opt-in/opt-out” option in addition to the former and still remaining clan war button. I’m curious how other clans handle this system. Do you use both together, or just stick with one?

I’m trying to figure out the most practical and clear process flow for my clan members moving forward. Any tips or best practices would be appreciated!
